Ah, yet another trip into the Naruto-verse courtesy of Namco Bandai, let's get right to it
Graphics: Simply amazing, the ougis are downright beautiful, the stages and characters (Their mouths move!) aren't bad either, and Konoha is replicated to the slightest detail in the Free Roam.
Gameplay: The combat is definitely more fast paced then the previous UN games, you get one Jutsu, one Ougi (And ONLY one, no unlockables), and you're very simple combos, which is not a bad thing at all. The Support system makes it even better, your two Supports can extend Combos or help you out if you're on the bad end of a nasty beatdown. The biggest (And maybe only) problem with the combat is the Substitution Jutsu, it's very hard to pull off and when you're opponent starts a big combo and you keep mashing L2 and R2, you get the idea. Now to Ultimate Mission Mode, where most of the game's problems lie. The free roaming's alright, Konoha looks great and the Naruto Cannon is cool, and Shuriken Mode has Lock-On, but with Konoha fully sized Scroll collecting after Missions gets very old very quick. Also, in order to do the Flashback Missions (AKA The Story), you have to do Free Missions to gain Experience. Lemme get this straight: You have to do Missions to gain Experience to do other Missions, that makes no sense at all. Basically, you're gonna wanna finish everything ASAP to get 100% completion (Secret Ending) and have fun in Free Battle.
Couple more things, people need to stop giving a fuck about Online, and the load times aren't that bad, that IGN guy was impatient.
Score And Closing Thoughts: 8/10, this is a very good game, the fighting is freaking awesome and the Summon battles are epic, the Story Mode is kinda lame, but who plays fighting games for that anyway. Dosen't matter what a fan of whatever you are, this is worth a shot.
Mm, my first review, how'd I do?
