So I just watched Futurama Movie 3 - Bender's Game

It explains the origins of Dark Matter, and has an out of nowhere dungeons and dragons reality world taking up a third of the episode =)

But is it good? How does it compare to the previous two? And does carry straight on from 2 like 2 did with 1, or is just a new story?

That was a really weird film. Like, really weird. Even weirder than Beast with a Billion Backs. And that was pretty weird. It's like, it makes no sense or anything. There's barely an attempt to make it make sense.

You know what... I think that movie might have actually been... Bad (by Futurama standards). The more I think about it the more it seems that way.

i weren't too much of a fan of either of the first 2 movies i'll check this one out though

You might like it. It's not terrible, just poorly plotted. Easily worse than the other 2 films. But then I quite liked them.

i hope this isn't an example of what the new season will be like or i'm not watching

The new season is just the films split into 4 episodes each. Beyond that there's nothing contracted.

i thought they were gonna do a new season based on film sales o_O

Only half the films have been released so far. I suppose it's possible that thbey might get picked up for some more, but as far as I know it hasn't happened yet. As of know the 4th movie is the last thing they're doing.

Bought the DVD today. I'm such a sucker for Futurama.

The first 2 I enjoyed alot. Havn't seen all of the 3rd movie yet.

I get what you mean. It's just obvious that the writers wanted to do D&D just for the sake of doing it, and didn't care about coming up with a good reason for it.

well we know they're all nerds at heart
so its not that suprising

but still it had a lot of potential
it was wasted

I was surprised by it, because I wouldn't expect that from Futurama.

continuity is fucked up pretty badly now

It doesn't explain the origins of it, just how it became usable as a fuel.

And why would you think Nibbler's shit was the source of dark matter?
