Anyone played it?

Woot! Deus Ex!

Invisible War was disappointing IMO but the original was great, combining Stealth, FPS and RPG all into one. Plus, hacking people's bank accounts to get moar moneys = win.

have you heard about all the mods that are coming out?

I only really know of Shifter at the moment.

someone's making one where you can continue the story playing with the cops (i forgot the organisation names)

Oh that UNATCO United mod or something?

Would be interesting to keep playing the game as a pawn.

i didn't play shifter was it any good?

Shifter doesn't change the game completely, it just adds a few minor things to the main game and fixes a few bugs.

Like now you get skill points whenever you skillfully kill someone, some augmentation canisters have been replaced with more useful ones that appeared in Invisible War, a "Skul gun" augmentation canister is in the game as a joke and a few other improvments.

I guess you could say Shifter is more like an unofficial expansion pack that adds to the game than it is a total mod that completely changes the game.

well i guess if will change the game now i actually may bother being stealthy in sections if i can be rewarded

before if i messed things up i just ran around like a maniac killing everything

Yeah Shifter rewards you for Stealth now but it also rewards you in a different way if you go in blasting.

Just think of it as an unofficial patch or unofficial expansion pack rather than a mod.

I've not really tried out any other Deus Ex mods other than Shifter.

Would anyone be interested in a lets play of this I could in theory get this up and running with video and me giving audio narration. I'm just messing around with video editing right now whli playing killing floor.

Alright guess there's no harm. The fact I suck at Deus Ex will most likely make it funny.

I'm gonna just play with this video stuff to see if i can get a decent quality video up and running.

If it keeps me entertained I'll watch it.

This is being rerated for PS3, suggesting a somewhat new modified version is being released. A direct PS2 port seems unlikely as that would not require PEGI to rate it again.
