Hell no, this looks kickass. I'm annoyed at the large amounts of nerd rage going around about these new pics but honestly, this pretty much works for a live action DB film. It looks kickass and not as cheesy as people wanted it to be(the nerds). Honestly, this is what is best for us and a good kick in the nuts to the nerds who like to bitch about the film since announcement. That'll teach them to stop assuming this film will be shit before they watch it.

How will it teach them that? They got pretty much what they expected. A Piccolo that doesn't look much like Piccolo.

They're still ranting and are offended by it saying it "killed" their "Oh so special" childhood.

I still would have preferred that other Piccolo. At least for the time when he was supposed to be weak, before getting his youth back.

I don't mind either one, this one just doesn't phase me, I think it looks cool.

I'm not saying it looks bad as a character design in itself. It just doesn't look like Piccolo.

Other changes I can understand. If they'd tried to make Goku look like he did in the series, it would have come out looking stupid. They'd have had to get a really short person who could do great martial arts and give them a stupid wig, and it would have looked awful because Goku is supposed to look like a human. But Piccolo is basically an effect. There isn't the worry of him looking ridiculous when converted from page to life, because he's supposed to look odd. I don't see why that big of a change was necessary.

That's why the way Piccolo looks bothers me more than how the other characters look. I never expected Goku to look like he did in the series.

Well, by the looks of that old pic I posted back on DBD, I see how it could've worked regardless of how weird it looked back then but this is what we're stuck with now and to me, I'm fine with it. :3

I hope Piccolo acts like Spike. =P

Apparently it's voiced by by the Japanese VA who did Korin's voice. At least the Japanese trailer, anyway.
