Well in SC3 you had

Head
Face
Neck
Shoulders
Arms
Upper Body undergarments
Upper body mid layer
Upper body outer layer
Waist
Lower body undergarments
Lower body outer layer (pants and stuff)
Feet (socks and stuff)
Legs (shoes and stuff)

In SC4 the upper and lower body undergarments have been dumped in one option, so you have a vest or tights, but not both unless it comes as a single item. Upper body mid and outer layer are now the same, so you can't have a shirt under a coat, you have to pick between them. And the waist and pants section is also together. It's bloody annoying, because it's totally pointless and restrictive change. I can't for the life of me think why anyone making the game thought it would better that way. Unless it was to with rendering and framerates online and shit.

I think it was to balance the stupid skill thing better.

I prefer dress up for the sake of dress up, personally.

If they wanted you to get skill points and stat boosts and shit, that should come with leveling up the style, NOT with picking different clothes. Why would wearing heavy-ass boots make your guy swing a sword harder?
