| It's very similar to the first one and that's the problem. It's not new anymore so I would've appreciated it if Marvel did a little more this time other than explosions, quips and in-fighting. | |

| I'm planning on seeing this tomorrow too. I shall temper my expectations accordingly then. | |

| I will concede you were right at the time. Although it's still the best Phase 1 movie after Iron Man. | |

| I think the first Avengers was rather special, even if part of its pizzazz was seeing everyone finally team up. It ain't perfect, but it's still rather a fun thrill ride. Its biggest issue is how the climax feels like a drag on re-watches. Avengers 2 might turn out the same way. I wouldn't say that the majority of it was basically the same as the last film, but the final climactic showdown is absolutely nothin' new other than... - Spoiler:
...one person dying. Someone that probably won't be missed much either. And hell, Avengers had its own big shocking death(or "death," whatever, I don't know... Fuck you AoS) prior to its own climax too, so it's not really the freshest dramatic moment to cap off their final battle with.

| You should probably spoiler tag that, Neo. - Spoiler:
Is killing off that piece of shit Aaron Taylor Johnson an acknowledgement from Marvel that Fox Quicksilver is better? Yes.

| I still enjoyed this, not sure whether I think it's better than the first Avengers or not though. The dialogue is still snappy, and it had a great sense of humour about it; but Ultron was a weird villain. | |

| I liked Ultron's personality, but he was fodder throughout the movie. | |

| Was there a thing at the very end of the credits? People wanted to leave for food so I didn't sit through the lot. | |

Nope. There's just that mid-credits scene with Thanos putting on the Infinity Gauntlet and saying "Fine, I'll do it myself," or something like that. He then proceeds to whack off with it while thinking about Avengers IW Part 1 and 2's box office grosses..
I believe the US release will tack on something for the very end, though. Just like last time.

thanks for censoring this, read it before it was censored sadly enough and it kind of ruined the character for me. not cool. Quite liked the movie, but nothing all too special. it dragged a bit in the middle too.

| I liked it but I wanted more Ultron. Marvel finally put a compelling villain on the screen and he got side lined to fit in a bunch of set up for other movies (and a fun but pointless Hulkbuster fight).
Ultron's first talk with Jarvis and the Avengers was great, but after that I never really followed his reasoning. I suppose "mad robot" is supposed to be enough but it seemed like there was more to it that got glossed over or cut out. When they started about why Ultron makes his bodies human-like I was suddenly intrigued, but it was two lines.

You're supposed to insert the skynet or matrix nonsense in, its pretty obvious the line of thought we've seen in a bunch of movies. It seemed kinda odd though with how chummy he was with scarlet witch and quiksilver though. I think I might've preferred it to the first, on multiple watches the first movie dragged in spots despite being a generally great movie. I think I want to see this again. - Spoiler:
BTW 4 infinity stone have been mentioned? I counted 3, 1 in GoG, 1 in the tesserat, 1 in the sceptre, where was number 4? I had a feeling that Thanos was mentioned to have one, but how does 4 know the location of 4 of them?
I saw the death coming I thought they were trying to subvert the cliche of hte family guy gets killed, but i was suspecting something to happen to fuck up scarlet witches head a bit.
Also I hate falcon wtf is he realy contributing to the team, aside from just being there.
The CGI in the opening scene was freaking shitty as well it made everyone look they were made out of rubber. Especially everything invlving thor. I think a lot of scenes suffered by having too many ppl, I also don't get how the more human characters didn't get wrecked by everything and ultron throughout the movie.

| The red mist stuff in Thor 2 became an infinity stone somehow. | |
