I agree with Buu on the suggestion of Shaman King, currently started watching it and I love! I would have loved more as a child, I reckon.

I however, would have to disagree with one piece only because the majority of the crew members had some traumatic childhood experiences that even got me to tears. I might be a wuss but I'd say a little too extreme for kids.

As a kid, I remember watching stuff like Beyblade, Yugioh, Sakura Card Captors, Sailor Moon, Samurai X, Battle B-Daman, Dectective Conan, Pokemon, Digimon, Monster Rancher, Power Stone, Metabots, Hamtaro and Hello Kitty.

You tried to make me read Fruits Basket I found that traumatic the characters couldn't express themselves through facial expressions the author had to repeatedly write next to them what the emotion was...

So i'm guessing it was ultimately about robots.

although Samurai X is great, it's quite violent for a kid under 5 Very Happy

there's a scene where Shishio literally splits a guy in half with his sword. not to mention all the other things.

anyways, thanks for the other suggestions Smile

Well....I think One Piece is not an anime for children: it's a Shonen that means "teenager" already. Naruto, Fairy Tail and Bleach too. Actually, if you search "Anime Kodomo" on internet you'll find a list with all children japanese's cartoons such as Doraemon or Magical Witches Doremì, Pokémon and Digimon; if you like Studio Ghibli's movie Totoro and Ponyo are great films for children.

^Good call on Doraemon

These are the best I could think of.

Romeo no Aoi Sora
It will be rough if the kid shouldn't watch something about trafficking children.

Aka-chan to Boku
And this is about 2 boys and their father, their life after the death of the mother.
