| Of anime series to watch Sometimes I wonder why I plan to watch stuff I never saw before At least on anime streaming sites I know I won't feel like getting rid of it So my list is this: - BTOOOM!: It's like Hunger Games and Sword Art Online rolled into one, people playing a video game are forced to kill each other in real life the way they do in the video game. Saw 3 episodes of this so far, looks cool.
- Cowboy Bebop: I admit not seeing any episode, or reading any of the manga, but it's one of the things I see it's name pop up everywhere
- Black Lagoon: Saw the first episode of it two years ago, and read the first volume of the manga, stopped after that
- Valkyria Chronicles: Not interested in the game this anime is based on, I lost interest in playing new video games
- Guilty Crown
- Code Geass
- Psycho Pass
The rest just seem interesting

| BTOOOM is 12 episodes long, I decided to start with it
*Episode 1: 22 years old world Ryōta Sakamoto, class champion in the online PC game BTOOOM is unemployed, he finds himself one day hanging from a tree attached to a parachute, no recollection of the past number of hours after he was playing the game, his head is bleeding. Dude finds himself forced to fight a guy to the death, both carry BIMs (I don't know what that stands for yet), they are bombs like the gamers use in the game. He wins, takes the bombs from his dead enemy.
*Episode 2: Himiko is a high school student, her character married the character of Sakamoto in the game. Her friends were raped in the apartment of one her neighbors in the building, she escaped and called the cops, her best friend now hates her, and she thinks being thrown in the event is punishment for what her friends getting raped by the neighbor they wanted to meet She meets three guys, one of them looks a bit like Ralph Jones from King of Fighters, a school teacher, and a fat pervert who tries to rape her later, but she kills him instead, and went solo
*Episode 3: Sakamoto meets a guy taking a shit, instead of killing him they form an alliance, and that guy tell Sakamoto what he doesn't remember about the plane, the maniac talking on screen explaining the game wearing an Ash Ketchum cap . Sakamoto finds he needs to be careful when it comes to taking food dropped from planes, cause some contestants plant bombs to kill anyone reaching the bag of food, cause each contestant needs to collect 7 crystals attached to 7 contestants (it's not much of a contest though, they were abducted and forced to kill each other)

| Cowboy Bebop is cool, but over-hyped. Not really much in the way of narrative, but the characters are good and the music is great. Though apparently the love it gets is partly because it was seminal in introducing the west to anime, so that part is probably lost on me.
Code Geass is absurd but fun. Don't take it too seriously and you'll probably enjoy it a lot.
Psycho Pass is a pretty interesting cyberpunk dystopia, it references a lot of cyberpunk and general dystopic literature, but knowledge of that is just a bonus if you've got it, not integral to enjoying it. I'm looking forward to the second season.

| I gather I made myself a pleasant list
*Episode 4: So there is a kid Kira, tired of getting abused by his pedo father who grabs his penis, he kills him Kid is a psycho, that is disturbing, he killed people and raped their dead corpses, and he's 14 years old Dude got a couple of grenades to his face, and he got away from it every time with less scars than Harry Osborn in Spider-Man 3 So, this radar supposedly only detects moving enemies with radar, but in the first two episodes it detected the main two characters when they were still....

| *Episode 5: Sakamoto unites with Himiko, but she doesn't trust men after the experience she had with some of them, the thing that led her to come to the island and what happened with the Ralph Jones lookalike and the fat guy who almost raped her, he kicks the zapper she wanted to use on him to zap her after remembering what a zapper did to his head. Sakamoto has a strong will, he resists lowering her panties So Sakamoto, the fat guy, and Himiko need to survive Komodo Dragons attacks, they reach a safe house near a beach, and Sakamoto uses a gas grenade to kill the dragons, triggering it with the finger of unconscious Himiko
Why must the bomb be only activated by the one holding it? Or the killer of the previous owner(s) of certain bombs? They all get that they were nominated to be tossed on the island by people who know them, cause someone or some people doesn't like them, so the process of abduction and sending them to death battles is completely legal
*Episodes 6 & 7: Ralph lookalike is mercenary, and he is joined by a lawyer who was assigned to defend the maniac kid in court Himiko's former friends wrote "traitor" and "die" on her school desk, cause of course, the one who did not know making a naive favor for her friends as their request would lead to them getting raped, and then she calls the cops to save her friends and arrest the rapists while the girls were trapped in the apartment of a rapist and his buddies, but it seems it's not logical to nominate the rapists to enter that death trap, their friend must take all the blame on her own. Ralph is mercenary, he kidnaps Himiko, tosses Sakamoto off a cliff, and slashes the fat guy's belly. The two guys survive, Himiko is rescued, the bad guys die.
*Episode 8: Himiko and Sakamoto meet a woman who herself does not trust men, cause of bad experience with one man only, who she dearly trusted. The lady turns out to be a survivor of a previous match, trapped on the island with a severed hand, and the douche doctor who betrayed her makes a return to the current Battle Royale event despite being a previous survivor

| *Episodes 9-12: One of the people trapped on the island is an old acquaintance of Sakamoto, he was a friend of his, but betrayed his trust by sleeping with the one girl Sakamoto had a crush on in high school, here they fought for a bag of food There was a nurse, she's the woman from episode 8, she was betrayed by the Doctor who was a previous survivor, she had her chance to kill him, but she kept him alive, despite his constant betrayals The fat guy went berserk after going mental, result of the Komodo Dragon bites, he used his bombs to kill Sakamoto and Himiko, but they did not feel like doing the same to him, so he killed himself after being surrounded by Komodo Dragons, and having only one BIM
Now I'm pretty indifferent about this show, I like Battle Royale and Hunger Games kind of settings, the characters are pretty nice so far, but I feel indifferent. Considering reading the manga just to see the rest of the story, cause some parts were not adapted to animation, and after looking at the list of manga chapters, and taking a glimpse at how they are adapted, I'm not surprised they stopped the show after episode 12, the manga series was first released back in 2011, the publishing system for chapters is erratic, the series is 70 chapters in, and 31 chapters in are like 8 episodes

| Saw the first 3 episodes of Valkyria Chronicles, interesting show Reminds me a bit of Fullmetal Alchemist, minus the alchemy, and the cartoony over the top emotions
Welkin Gunther majors in biology, hates battles, but to a reasonable capacity, no coward or wimp, seems to have learnt quite well from his father, a great hero to his village. Dude enters the militia and is assigned as commander of squad 7. His foster sister is a Darcsen, I don't know what that is so far, seems like folks find that being a sign of bad luck
Alicia is a baker in her village, signed up to the village guard force, then joined the militia after meeting Gunther, who's attitude against wanting to fight during the raid on their village made it a surprise for her to see him a lieutenant in the Militia.

| Episodes 5 is pretty good, plenty of fun so far Looks like I'm in for quite a treat with this list
The unfortunate thing is I can't suggest this show for children to watch, I hoped it would be safe

| Episodes 7-14 are less enthralling than episodes 3-6, at least the show is still enjoyable, despite my expectation to be disappointed by some events I still have the memory of the time when I decided to watch Fate Stay Night, and was unable to enjoy it as I hoped for The second intro is good, but not as great and catchy as the first opening | |

| Episodes 15 & 16 were fun Episode 17 is good, but it has a sad ending Episode 18 kinda breaks my heart, Isara is dead, and the crappy cocky general of the army wants to make Squad 7 more miserable even after Isara's death | |

| Episode 19 got the group freeing Bruhl, the village of Alicia, Welkin, and Isara. Welkin heads to his house and finally cries after seeing how similar he is to his father, and Alicia comforts him
Funny thing, the names don't sound Spanish, but theirs is the flag of Guatemala Saw a little of the game walkthrough to compare the death of Isara there to the animated version, I like the anime version of her death more

| Episode 20, man, things get on a grand scale Prince Maximilian was ordered to retreat from the invasion, cause there empire cannot afford more losses like the continue to suffer, but he disobeys, by making a grand scale attack, and this time using the full force of Sylveria, the Valkyrian blue witch he took care of since he found her young in his sylveria (blue roses) garden Faldio was studying Alicia for a while, or the Valkyrians actually, and Alicia's fast healing is a sign of her being Valkyrian, he thought of taking her as a weapon, but after the shock of his entire squad -and more- getting annihilated by the Valkyrian witch of the empire, and being the lone survivor, he shot Alicia in her back
Ramal tossing Faldio in the pit to save him, and getting dosed by the deadly rays of the Valkerun is a bit similar to the origin of the Hulk, except this time the young guy tosses the older guy in, and Ramal gets disintegrated

| Episodes 21-23 are pretty solid, things get pretty intense with Alicia being forced into the army and considered a monster, the militia want their friend, but the army are showing their arrogance Maximilian decides to rule his own nation instead of being the crown prince to the empire, guess that leaves it up to his brother to rule the empire next | |

| Episode 24 is good The twist of the princess being a Darkscen is ok
Episode25 is ok
Episode 26 is the average lame ending plenty of good anime suffer from, nothing specific, just that the ending is lame
Consider skipping the OVA for now, might pass over it quickly, but not going to watch the whole thing

| Started watching Guilty Crown, my plan originally had this and Valkyria Chronicles, so I figured I should watch this before anything else now that I saw Valkyria
Saw episodes 1 and 2 Ecchi show, one could figure that from how Inori is dressed, but still something to mention The ending of episode 1 of this reminds me a bit of the ending of episode 1 of Bleach, a guy in high school meets a girl and sucks power from her Episode 2 kinda reminds me of Pacific Rim, with the robots they drive by body motion remote control Nice thing is the main protagonist is reliable, not a whiny bitch the viewer wants to kill so many times

| Saw episodes 3 and 4, and that is pretty cool
Guilty Crown is like a geeks dream; Devil May Cry (original) jumping platforms, remote controlled giant robots by body motion, sucking the force out of other people and make weapons of them, assault on a giant prison that looks so fancy and innocent from the outside, geeks watching horror movies (Jigsaw Chainsaw, kinda mixing two horror franchises, just the title was shown).... I wonder what else is there
