Got round to watching this last week. The story is once again a convoluted mess, but Mark Wahlberg is infinitely preferable to Shia, and it does mean no more lame jokes with "the parents". Action scenes were typically solid, dialogue and story were typically weak, and the pacing does sag in the middle section (it's a nigh-on three hour film) which suggests Bay still thinks bigger / longer is better. Wahlberg aside, Stanley Tucci is, as always, good value for money, and Kelsey Grammer plays a really pantomime villain government type, which is just as silly as it sounds. Kind of sums the film up really. Still, I enjoyed it for the most part, it was certainly better than Dark of the moon, and the Dinobots kicked arse.
