There's no reasonable way it won't be. Hank and Gomez should be killed the second the next episode starts. The show runners just decided to arbitrarily make it a cliffhanger it rather than have it this week.

Also I'm now pretty sure that the Nazis are going to take Jesse hostage and force him to cook for them, freeing Walt from his obligation to teach Todd. Walt lets Jesse go with a heavy heart, but he rationalizes it like he always does.

Marie snaps when Hank goes missing and goes to the police with what she knows (the DVD), even if it means sullying Hank's name, just to get revenge on Walt (who still confessed to meth manufacturing and making a bomb). The news gets out and Walt's identity is revealed to the public.

Walt is forced to flee and use Saul's disappearer guy. Skyler presumably goes to jail and Walt Jr and Holly are placed into the custody of the state. Marie is institutionalized or kills herself or I dunno what.

While on the run Walt's unable to get his chemo treatment, so his hair grows back and he starts to die. His incoming death puts things in perspective and Walt realizes that he can't leave Jesse in the clutches of the Nazis, since he's the only "family" Walt can still possibly help. Thus, he resolves to "save" Jesse. He buys the M60 and grabs the ricin in preparation for a confrontation  with the Nazis.  

I'm not sure what Walt is going to do. I'm considering that Walt holds no illusions that he will be able to rescue Jesse, so instead he'll try to mercy kill him. Maybe that's what the ricin's for, even if it's an awful way to go.

I dunno what happens to Walt's money. Maybe the Nazis find it in the next episode and steal it, furthering Walt's downfall. The next episode is called Ozymandias after all.

lol, so Saul Goodman is getting a spin off after all. nice to hear.

Well in broad strokes I was right.

brilliant episode. loved the way Walt told off Jesse and Skyler.


I'm gonna miss Hank though.

So what are your thoughts on that phonecall? Was Walt serious, or was he trying to make sure he took the fall and that his family are left alone even though they absolutely rejected him? A bit of both perhaps?

I think it could be argued either way, but I'd like to see what you guys think.

at first I thought he was serious, but when he started crying at the end I wasn't so sure about that anymore... So i don't know really.

could still go both ways.

If he really hated them he wouldn't have given Holly back.

I agree, and that was definitely one of the things that swayed me. But to play devil's advocate: he knew he was going to die relatively soon, even if he hated Skyler, he would want what was best for Holly presumably.

one could definitely argue the fact that you can hate people but still do the right thing.


it's like Skip says, he might hate his family/Skyler, but if he loves Holly he'll do what's best for her, even if that means leaving her with people he hates.

I was hoping that Walt would send Holly to his mysterious mother, who we will never meet.

The call was absolutely 100% about exonerating Skyler (though I'm sure some of the venom came easily) because he knew the police were listening. There were far too many blatant lies for it to be true. He was playing the monster he needed to be in order to spare his family, and you could see how much it was tearing Walt apart.

This is probably old by now, but I think it's pretty cool.

I love how even Holly hates Walt. Like the entire world has finally conspired against him.

Only his mysogynist fanbase still cares about him.

That might have been the greatest ending to anything ever.

My god, I want the next episode now.
