| Yeah, a new thread, deal with it.
Starts in just over two hours and I am more than a little excited.
Season predictions: - Walt dies (though I hope he lives to suffer the consequences of his actions) - Jesse lives - Skyler lives (though I hope she dies) - Something terrible happens to Walt Jr or Holly - The spider somehow causes Walt and/or Todd's downfall - Hank kills himself - Walt is poisoned with the ricin, though he dies some other way

| I probably need to refresh myself on what happened in the first half of the season, why do you think Walt would be poisoned with ricin? Just the fact that it'd be ironic? | |

| Chekhov's ricin plus poetic justice plus it allows him to once again "see his end" but still be given the opportunity to go with a bang. | |

| Walt should be poisoned with the Ricin just because that thing's existed for the whole damn series and hasn't once been used. | |

| So the opening scene of this episode may put a wrench in my Walt gets poisoned theory, but not necessarily! | |

| Bear in mind I still have 10 minutes of the episode to go, but when I saw that scene I was assuming that he was going to go all murder-suicide on someone, which would fit in with your "family dies" theory. That said ricin would hardly be the most efficient suicide method, especially when you have a gun already. | |

| My initial idea was that he had already been poisoned, which is why he buys the M60 and decides to go out in a blaze of glory. Now I'm less sure.
Rest of the episode was great. The confrontation between Walt and Hank was brilliant and I'm glad they got it out of the way so early rather than drawing out the "he knows I know he knows" thing for several episodes.

| Yeah the ending was good. I was happy that Walt stopped trying to bullshit Hank when it became obvious that he knew he was Heisenberg. Didn't think Walt would actually threaten him outright like that though. | |

| Walt is right though, Hank can't do anything to him. By exposing Walt, Hank would just ruin his own life and the lives of his loved ones for nothing because Walt's already on his way out. It wouldn't even be a Pyrrhic victory, it'd just be a net loss. It'd be in everyone's best interests if Hank just stays quiet and suffers Walt until he dies of cancer. Of course, Hank could never do that because Walt is his white whale (literally WW). The stress and guilt will eat away at Hank and he will blame himself for whatever horrible thing leads to the events of the flash forward, which is why - Casa wrote:

| He certainly might. There's no way he just sucks it up and waits, he's definitely not that sort of person.
Also, I liked that Jesse was playing the role of some kind of drugged up ghetto Santa/Robin Hood figure.

| There was no altruism in what Jesse did, he's just desperate to alleviate his guilt. | |

Well yeah, that goes without saying. It doesn't change he was driving through a ghetto throwing money around.

| Jessie tossing money out of the car like a paperboy is seriously the best thing in the world. I want my gif of it now. | |

(Also fantastically brilliantly amazingly perfect episode)

| 'Walt' is getting less convincing by the episode, I wouldn't be surprised if the character we've seen in the flash forwards is 100% Heisenberg. | |

| That ending was brilliant right up until - Spoiler:
it turned into the A Team. I mean come on, I'm not normally one to complain about plot armour but that was ridiculous. The episode should've ended when the first shot was fired.
My only hope is the next episode starts by panning over Hank and Gomez's corpses.

| After that episode I don't think there are any lines left for Walt to cross, I wouldn't be surprised if the series ends with him alive, but completely alone, with nothing but his money - just waiting for the cancer to kill him. | |

that's exactly how I've been imagining it for a while now. also yeah, the last scene should've stopped at the first shot fired.
