- Music Shop and Color Shop abolished. The Music Shop has been merged into the "Records Shop". From what I understand, you can change Color at the moment of character creation now, both from other ranks and "extra colors". I'm guessing this means that if you're creating a Rank 3 character, you'll get access not only to the Rank 1, 2 and 3 colors, but some extra ones that don't belong to any rank, either.
- New addition: Cheat Shop. Here you can lower and increase your %gain of things like Hell, Experience, Weapon Mastery, Mana. They all start at 100%, you lower some to gain extra points to increase others. For example, you can put it at 80%Hell gain and 120%Mana gain. The "stronger enemies" and "weaker enemies" function was also moved to this shop, you no longer need to pass bills for it, you can change it at will here. It also appears to have other extra functions like influencing the Item World (which is now called the Item Sea, read the same way in Japanese but with a different Kanji) and control over the Support Attacks and Cover functions.
- Unlike Disgaea 1 and 2, the Master/Pupil relationships are now not set in stone. They're alterable. The page doesn't say if you have to go through a specific method to change someone's Pupil to another person.
- New addition: "Promotion". When resurrecting, you now have the option to keep your level and rank up as long as it's within the same species (or so I understand). So basically, you can rank up your generics without them going back to Level 1 as long as you're not changing them, say, from a Warrior to an Archer. [I love this so much]
- The item bag and storehouse have been merged. You can now carry up to 999 items.
- New addition: Fists now have an ability to perform "combos" to make up for their lower damage in comparison to other weapons. When attacking regularly, there's a chance that you'll attack up to six times.
- New addition: Guns now have distance-dependant damage. The closer an enemy is, the more damage they deal.
- New addition: Staff attacks are now Int-dependant and have +2 range.
- You can now freely choose where to throw (similar to a bow's range), instead of having to perfect the ultimate skill of diagonal throwing.
- No more magichange or giant monsters.
- New addition: Riding monsters. There are combo skills exclusive to riding. When the character takes fatal damage, only the monster dies, the rider remains.

Oh those are some interesting changes well ive never used diagonal throw so ii guess being able to doesnt really effect me. No reverse pirating .... well it was only useful in d3 i guess i barely used it in D4 Aww no magichange? tch i hope at least riding proves usefull some what! hmm i think that having the item and warehouse merged...... well it has its pros and cons lets see how it works out. Oh i also like the "promotion" changes beats having to keep leveling. hmm the cheat shop sounds similar to the map maker a bit though they are entirely different. At least theres no PFlonzer
i'm assuming it'd be recapped. even if it's not, i doubt it'd be necessary. early on the story revolves around laharl's rule in the netherworld and former followers of his father rebelling.
