Maybe there's some greater plot significance to that. What if the whole island only exists because of Jason.

I'd not noticed that. | |

| Yep, the day/night cycle only advances when you're moving. If you stand still it stops. | |

| There was a theory posted somewhere that the whole game is simply Jason's fantasy; after all, Jason's a pampered rich boy who goes from bumbling wimp to one-man army inside what can't be more than a few days in-universe.
Little finds like that don't hurt that theory.

| Well the actual writer of the game spoke out about people not interpreting the story properly. Apparently he was going for the whole "unreliable narrator" thing. | |

| That may well be what I was thinking of. | |

| Who was the narrator again? I've forgotten to be honest. | |

| Okay, I'm onto the second island and I joined the privateers.
The last 4 or 5 missions on the first island were pretty dull. Well, the missions weren't dull, but the island was dull because I had crafted everything, bought everything, and done nearly all the side missions. Haven't even been looting because I wouldn't be able to sell any of it because my wallet was full.

| Yeah it gets a bit like that. You realise pretty quickly you never need to loot. | |

| Okay, this is a good game, but I'm losing interest now. The second island offers nothing that I haven't already seen and done besides a few new weapons, and on top of that because I'm wearing the privateers uniform the privateers don't even attack me, so it's even less interesting that the first island was by default. If I hadn't been able to craft absolutely everything on the first island, or if there was different wildlife and stuff, I might be more motivated. This just feels like overtime.
Oh, there is the wing suit I suppose. But apart from jumping off radio towers it doesn't have much use.

| There's a PC mod that makes the game more fun, for example you have the wing suit and the parachute from the beginning. There're also some changes concerning the missions but I can't remember. Anyway, that sounded like the best way to play the game. | |

| Having the wing suit from the start would have been even worse. | |

| The wing suit was fantastic. I abused the hell out of it for general getting around. | |

| This worth getting. I can get this and Deadly premonition for around 27 pounds together i think.
Also would it be hard to convince people to coop.

| Co-op is all right, and can be fun with a friend, but it's less than an hour. | |

| Gonna be doing the coop campaign at some point let me know if you're up for it. - Kaede wrote:

I've seen estimates of around 5-8 hours
