So I just watched this...
And learned that this is a real thing and proceeded to watch the source and thought "Oh wow, this is violently stupid." Did Bardock become super popular or something? Because if he did, then why and why in the fuck did they see it fitting to give him some dumb anime where he becomes the Legendary Super Saiyan, the original Saiyans were frog people, and he goes into the fucking past. Is this canon too?
I swear, how is it that a series like DBZ somehow gets the worst spin-off material?

That doesn't matter. The originator doesn't have to make it for it to be canon, he just has to give the OK that it's canon.

I don't think anyone but the fanbase actually cares about what's canonical or not. If a fan came up to him or someone at Toei and asked, they'd probably just say "sure" without thinking much about it.

Future Bardock appears on New Namek when Future Babidi tries to attack Future Dende for stealing his wishes to Porunga. After Future Bardock's attack, Babidi leaves the New Namek.
Future Bardock is recruited by Future Gohan and Future Pikkon at Future Supreme Kai's request for the battle against Future Super Buu. Future Gohan is brought back to life by Future Old Kai, while Future Pikkon and Future Bardock have one day to help.
After the battles against the Z Fighters' clones, Future Janemba, Future Cooler, Future Cell and Future Broly. Goku, Gohan, Goten, Future Bardock, and Future Gohan use their Family Kamehameha to wipe out Future Kid Buu, thus saving the future.
