I'm guessing from the more or less total lack of related topics here that no one much cares, but as someone who was dismissive of the games beforehand, I'm delighted to say I was utterly wrong and that they've been astonishing. From the success of the GBR team to the ultimate crowd-pleasing of a certain Mr Bolt it's been amazing to watch, and I'm genuinely sad it's almost all over.

I liked the Holland - Brittain hockey game. We already invented "total football", here comes total hockey.

We're only doing so well because we're hosting and a ton of money was poured into sports facilities and training. I doubt we'll do nearly as good next time.

I haven't been watching it because the channels which are airing it here have abysmal coverage. Swimming, swimming repeats, interviews with swimmers, repeats of interviews with swimmers.
