| Having played most of Leon's campaign, here are my impressions so far (spoiler-free):
- the game plays like an improved RE5. Rolling, crouching and counterattacking are really fun and useful. - the story is surprisingly good - environments, atmosphere, enemies and bosses are all great
My only complaints are that the game is too fucking dark and there are too many enemies. Oh, and the item menu annoys me as well.
All in all, I find the game to be unexpectedly good and fun.
Edit: it also has a lot of QTEs and bosses are bullet-sponges

| Leon's second and fourth chapters were great. Last chapter had an unnecessarily long boss battle and a stupid climbing sequence.
~~~
Chris' campaign isn't actually bad at all. In fact, I believe that Leon's campaign had more enemies (and shooting). Chris is an asshole though.
| Hmm, Jake's campaign reminds me of Lost in Nightmares. It has less enemies than the other two (least bosses too), more exploration and hiding from that huge monster that follows them seems to be a big part of it. It's a lot more action-packed than LiN though.
It's definitely the least fun campaign for me. It doesn't help that both Sherry and Jake, especially him though, are over the top and much less interesting than the other characters.
~~~
Some info about Mercs. First stage is already unlocked, for the other two you have to complete Chris and (I suppose) Jake's campaign. Helena, Piers and Sherry are unlocked by getting a B rank in each stage. The first alternate costumes are unlocked by attaining an A rank with that character.
Piers' anti-materiel rifle has to be the worst weapon for Mercs. It takes like 3 seconds after you fire a shot before you can even MOVE again and it's not even an one-hit kill for the bosses. I'm disappointed.
Also, in Mercs, you earn skill points a lot faster than you do in the campaigns.

| How does Ada's story work?
I'm not asking for plot, I mean is it unlocked when you complete the game or is DLC?

Yep. I read that there're 7 more stages, but they are going to be DLC. The mode is more interesting though. I'll try getting an A rank with Racer Piers (he's fucking ugly) and see if I unlock the 2nd alternate costume. Honestly, there is so much content in the campaigns, that any locked on disc DLC plan doesn't bother me. I also read that Ada has no partner in her campaign. And there is Agent Hunt too which I haven't tried yet. I think you invade another player's game like an enemy?

| My thoughts after finishing the 3 main campaigns:
- Leon's was great except for the last chapter. It had the classic RE atmosphere, great levels, zombies, good boss fights, lots of style and the survival element.
- Chris', I'd say it's about as good as Leon's, even though they're quite different. It's got RE5's atmosphere, a lot more action, and the main focus was killing the B.O.W.s and saving the world.
- Jake's... ugh, it wasn't bad, but it felt pretty bland compared to the others. It has a few good parts, but it's the weakest overall.

| Ada's campaign was very good in general. Final chapter was as bad as Leon's though. Her campaign sheds light on various plot points and the motives of the villains. - Spoiler:
Simmons, the National Security Advisor, is the head of a secret organization which controls the world from behind the scenes. He blackmailed Helena, using her sister, to assassinate the President before he revealed to the world the truth about Raccoon City and threaten the world stability.
He's also the one behind the creation of C-Virus and he's a psycho too. He was so obsessed with his former spy, Ada, that he created a clone of her with the virus after the she left him.
Carla Radames, his lead scientist, was the Ada clone. Carla got crazy and wanted to destroy the world that Simmons and his organisation have created. She posed as Ada Wong of Neo-Umbrella and started spreading her virus. For that purpose, she has created a powerful sea B.O.W., HAOS.
As for the final bosses, Leon, Helena and Ada face Simmons, whom Carla infected, Chris and Piers fight HAOS and Jake and Sherry fight Ustanak again. Carla is a (pretty creepy) boss for Ada.
Ada is unlocked for Mercenaries after finishing her campaign. ~~~ Apparently the game is receiving low scores from reviewers. It doesn't deserve them imo.

| Bought the game today. Finished Leon's campaign on Veteran in just under 11 hours.
The mechanics took some getting used to; I died a lot. A lot. At least 5 times per chapter. Oh well. Games pretty good though, much better than what the demo had led me to expect.
Jake's next I think. Tomorrow. Then Chris'.

| So I tried Agent Hunt. Playing as a Cerberus (are they still called Cerberus actually?) was fun. Playing as a zombie or a Bloodshot sucked. Every game I joined was on Leon's campaign. I suppose I'd wait a few days to play as a J'avo. | |

| I should have made an account on re.net when I bought the game for the extra skill points. Oh well.
Started my run on professional. The jump in difficulty isn't that noticeable. Enemies just take a bit more to die and do one more block damage compared to normal. They aren't more aggressive either, but enemies with guns are more accurate. Field Medic is pretty cheap skill to use and makes professional look easy.

| they don't give you skill points. they give you points to use on their site. some of them that give you unlockables not available in game. however, as of now, it's only pallette swaps of everyones ex costume. - Kaede wrote:
