Sony Smash Bros. -- this is something we should be talking about.

Since we know next to absolutely nothing about this project, how about we all pitch character and stage ideas?

If this sees the light of day. I'll go fight random people on the street. Sony isn't Nintendo, that's what makes them not terrible.

So we'd get reps from at least Uncharted, Resistance, MGS4, and a lot of other Sony exclusives? I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. We'll have to see once it's farther along.

Snake couldn't be in it anyway because apparently he's a Nintendo exclusive character. Sonic is too.

always wanted to play A Smash Bros style of game, but I didn't feel like getting a Nintendo just for that.

I honestly don't think Sony has enough unique characters to do something like this, there's not a single character I can think of who's as recognizable as Mario or Pikachu.

Crash, bro. Fucking Crash. And if they can't do that Nathan Drake is pretty recognizable. Or they could just do what Nintendo did with that awful excuxe for a game they call SSBB and take whatever characters you want regardless of platform. Could use Master Chef or Mario or whoever they wanted.

Makes sense to me, Crash was one of Sony's poster boys for a while and SSBB is dumb.

Sony has a lot of known characters, but nowhere near as mainstream as Mario or Pikachu, but still, I'd play it if my favorite characters are in it..

What I mean though is that, as far a SSB style game is concerned, Drake is just a dude with a gun as are Hale and Snake. You're right that Crash, Ratchet, Jak and Sly would fit perfectly but you can't make a game like this with four characters.

You could probably make a game out of it, especially if you go the Nintento road by using clones, completely unknown characters and third party characters.

Cloud or Vincent from FF7 and maybe Squall from FF8.

If they're gonna add Crash they may as well add Spyro.
