I thought it died a couple of years ago until I recently went to the bakery, in which there were these two kids, probably about 18, talking about X-Men First Class, and when one of them brought up the scene with Logan, the other one laughed and said "yeah, that was epic!". Her companion looked unamused, and told her that epic was not to be used in that kind of context, to which she responded "Why do you have to be like that? Nobody cares except you". And I thought only 8th graders from 2008 used that word.

Epic won't ever disappear, as it can be legitimately used when describing a masterpiece, just annoying ppl like to think there daily activities are the same as a trek to Mount Doom.
