| Yeah its kinda annoying fortunately i was lucky with that thorton inc. One a lot of people replay the whole game to get it had difficulty with it. I think i even killed a few people and still managed to get it.
That said the fact you still managed to get a different ending to me, and i've played the game through 3 times, and played that final mission probably double that (obviously checking to see if the choices in the end made the game that different generally it did). You'll do it evnetually. I'm sure you can fly through missions now to even on hard.
So wait you can actually have it so that brayko loses energy from snorting coke? I assume that must be due to mission order. In that case would it be possible to beat him without a gun?

Yeah, how awesome is that? You played the game three times, got a platinum trophy and still missed two things I saw on my first play through. Basically, when I beat Saudi Arabia I then went to all three other safehouses to check them out and do a few missions in each place. Stephen Heck, the brilliantly nutty guy you meet in Taiwan who thinks he's a CIA spy, will supply you with poisoned cocaine to use in the fight. It costs about eleven grand, but everytime Brayko snorts he runs around for a bit then stops and hunches over in agony... he loses a chunk of health, and he's vulnerable for four or five seconds. At that point unload your strongest weapon skill on him, or just melee a few times. I had Chain Shot up to second level, so it was three free headshots, but even when that was on cooldown, melee does fair damage. Or just chuck grenades at him, incendiary worked well too. Anyway, yes, it's completely possible to beat him without a gun. Tricky, but certainly possible.

| Oh cool that makes a melee stealth run possible then, honestly that was my only complaint about the game. It never occured to me if i hit a wall i could goto another safehouse and unlock stuff to potentially help with a mission i was finding difficult.
This is great to know, I wanted to unlock that execution melee move but i never bothered, due to a melee specialty seeming fairly useless before.
Anyway after you're done with the game i'll try and remember the types of ending i got if you wanna discuss that, as honestly it sounds like anything i tell you is probably gonna be a spoiler as my playthroughs were different to yours.

| I think you'd struggle against Marburg if you were doing solely melee... his dossier reports he's an expert hand-to-hand combatant, and he utterly wrecked me in CQC on the one occasion I tried to get close to him. Granted my melee skills were poor (I'd only put two points into the skill) but even at higher levels he'd be tougher than Brayko if you were melee only. - Spoiler:
I'm still pissed that he killed Madison. That was the only decision in the game that made me angry, because there was absolutely no sense in it. Obviously, that's the reaction the game is trying to provoke, and it did a great job of pulling it off. Sie, Scarlet and Mina I wouldn't have cared so much because they were all deeply involved and knew what they were getting into, Madison did not.
Watching Thorton really beating the crap out of Leland at the end was very satisfying... "This is for Madison!", but it did stick in my throat a bit that in my game Thorton let Marburg, the guy who pulled the trigger, walk out of the room unharmed.
I have a few issues with the game; some of the skills are unbalanced and don't scale as I feel they should, there are some unpleasant difficulty spikes and there are the oft-mentioned graphical glitches and occasional freezing, but the fun I've had from the game outweighs that lot. I'll probably do a full and proper review once I'm done with this playthrough, but I'm glad you took the risk on it initially and I'm glad that I took your recommendation after that, because it's been a very pleasant surprise.

| I think you did things in a order i wouldn't have done which funnily enough changes the impact of certain scenes. Marburg has one of the most complicated convo trees in the game. If you've done missions in a certain order and do certain things your reputation with him will change heavily regardless of what you say to him.
So who did you choose for your handler on the final mission?

| Sie for the achievements, then restarted with Albatross.
Also, on the subject of the order of things... I'm still in Saudi Arabia, and I've just done the mission where you meet Nasri. Last time, I had a secondary objective to reroute some weapons. This time around, it wasn't there because I've done even the opening missions in a slightly different order.

| I think i generally stuck with heck just because i liked him the most in the game. BTW thats the VA for the main guy from uncharted. He's just that good that you can't help but like him.
Oh yeah stuff like that really changes. IIRC executing/arresting/extorting really changes available intel to.

| Yeah, I saw Nolan North and Fred Tatasciore in the end credits. They get around, don't they? | |

| Dammit, I was within touching distance of getting my first Plat trophy... only got a handful left to get, but something has gone wrong with my current playthrough and because I couldn't get Marburg to stay and fight in the Museum, I not only lost that trophy, his survival ruins my Judge, Jury & Executioner run.
This means I need another two play throughs to get the ones I'm missing, which I can't be arsed with. Dammit.

| Sadly not.
I'm not sure what's gone amiss, because I;ve been following a guide to make sure I get the JJ&E trophy, but for whatever reason Marburg didn't want to finish the fight in the Museum... I'd only ever used Suave responses on him, his like status was -6 so he should have stayed. Sadly, he didn't. I'm not sure why.
On the plus side, I did then manage to get the Sociopath one for pissing off Heck, and I refused Sie so got the no romance trophy but still... the JJ&E run has been a lot of work for nowt. Mind you, next time (which will be in a few weeks time, I;m not doing a 3rd play through straigh away!) I can run through on Easy which should simplify and speed things up.

| I think i literally had him at -10. You can also hit him in one of the scenes IIRC.
I know that killing all the CIA agents (also seriously pissing off mina, always a plus) at the listening posts made him really hate me to, I was doing this on my kill everyone run. Also he hates Sie so meeting anf not initiating the boss fight in moscow will make him hate you more.

| Yeah, Mina is at -10 with me now, and some of the bitchy comments her and Mike have made to each other have genuinely made me laugh.
I killed all the CIA agents, (I basically killed everything that moves!) but Marburg didn't hate me enough all the same. That said, apparently Darcy and Westridge weren't happy I killed fellow Americans, and they planned revenge... Darcy took his revenge by kindly accepting a sniper's bullet between the eyes, while Westridge went down in one punch, the big girl's blouse.

| Haha, bitching. Just replayed my initial Recruit ending (in which I'd saved just before the final mission) and this time I chose a slightly different route through, and to my great delight, the Thorton Inc trophy popped up at the end. Saves me doing another run for it. | |

| Just done a speed run on Easy, took about six hours with Veteran and maxed stealth / pistols, I basically threw up Shadow Operative and ran past everything. Cleared up half a dozen more missing trophies, which, annoyingly, leaves only JJ&E and the associated Marburg fight that I missed on the previous run between me and my first ever Platinum trophy.
I'm within touching distance, so part of me is screaming just to get the hell on with it, but as much as I've enjoyed it, I can't face a fourth play through. Not yet anyway. Besides, I haven't even started Dark Chronicle yet.

| Yeah just play it again in a while, that is probably the most annoying trophy to miss, i can't remember how i got it. I assume i executed everyone i could. Funnily enough i think i did it on the run i spared one of the earlier guys luckily you can kill him again at the end. | |

| k, This is pretty fun. Being an asshole who excels at Rifle & SMGs is pretty bitchin'. I should try a stealth/pistol/martial arts person next. (Pistol especially that fucker. ...You know which one.) | |

| I gotta say blood stone is a real treat it reminds me of this. Although its more action oriented, the vehicle sections have been very bond so far.
Another game i picked up for a fiver.

| Na its the same style stealth with somewhere in between alpha protocol and uncharted gameplay (minus platforming). I mainly brought it up as it felt like a polished version of what alpha protocol was trying combat wise.
Oh yeah and it being James Bond just makes it epic. It probably is worth a rental, I wouldn't purchase it as i suspect its criminally short. The MP would be awesome if this game hadn't been critically panned. Mind i haven't read reviews I'll comment more when i finish it.

| It's been a while since I played this, but figured I'd give the platinum another go. Turn it on and oh my god... Yes, I remember it being technically a bit messy, but not this bad. The textures are basic, character models mediocre and there's so much screen tearing, I almost turned it straight off. So, no, a pretty game it is not.
Here's hoping the magic is still waiting under that repugnant surface.

| Turn off one of the visual options it makes the game run way better, I can't remember what the option was but it also stopped all crashes for me to. | |

| Motion Blur is off, it still tears like crazy. Still, it wasn't a game we ever enjoyed for the visuals was it? This time, Marburg is going to be my bitch and give me my Platinum trophy. | |
