| From what I'd heard it was kind of like if Bioware's D-Team did James Bond. Essentially, lots of really good ideas, but rather poorly executed. | |

| It has one of the best video game stories I know of, far better than any other recent mainstream RPG, but yes, gameplay wise it's basically what would happen if the Dragon Age 2 team made a Bourne Identity game. Lots of wasted potential. | |

He criticizes video games and gets paid for it, that makes him a professional video game critic.

This game is fucking amazing. Fortunately i couldn't think of anything they should've added up to this point, done desert spear adn i'm pissing about in russia before i go elsewhere. Will defintiely play this through a few times. Also trophy whoring and being a recruit, i realised stealth went out of the window so i'm just shooting tghe shit out of everything.

| I see yahtzee's point i honestly do not get how you are supposed to fight that boss, i ended up just giving him successive headshots with the pistol. If i had to use the assualt rifle like he says he was attempting, i wouldn't have got past it. | |

| If you spec into pistols and stealth you become an unstoppable god of rape. The combat really isn't hard, it's just unbalanced and, in some ways, poorly designed. | |

| I'm sticking with pistols only pretty much i chose the recruit background so i don't have much points, i think sabotage i got up pretty high just to get more cash for pistols.
I'll try and do a run where i don't get spotted on my second run on hard which will be a stealth one.
I gotta say this is definitely worth picking up with how cheap it is at the moment, its gonna be love or hate though. I think the games great and i'm genuinely suprised at some of the twists and turns can't wait to do my asshole run at some point later where its going to be guns blazing pretty much the whole way through.

| Na i was semi afk so i didn't see the messages.
Absolutely awesome game, i can't believe its that cheap not very new and got some of the coolest features i've seen in a game this gen.
I was messing around with my last save file and there were about 6 differnt ways to finish the game and that wasn't even including if i played it all differntly from the beginning.

| Almost got this today. Almost... It didn't have a price sticker on the side and it was behind a glass case so I had to have an employee take it out to price check it...
60 FUCKING DOLLARS!!!!
So, After about a minute of nearly giving myself an aneurysm. I bought WWE All-Stars instead. >_>

| My copy arrived today, not sure what class to go with initially (was tempted by recruit because you get bonus something or other for doing it, but 1st time through that's probably not a good idea.) so settled field op ie stealth. | |

| When you're upgrading skills look ahead to see which skills are most useful to you.
You get perks for doing anything in this game. I can't remember which gives the best buffs, but your playstyle will buff whatever you do. If that makes sense.

| Did the initial mission then restarted as a recruit. A few issues with the control scheme aside, it's got a lot going for it. | |

it takes some getting used to but it definitely works. What do you think of the conversation mechanic?

| Really good.
The conversation choices seem to make a difference too. I'm in the middle of the first mission proper, and the amount of freedom given is hugely satisfying. It feels a lot more open ended than Deus Ex HR did. In fact, while it's missing that game's level of polish, it's equally as satisfying, so far at least.

| The only real criticism i have in the games openess is that i couldn't really see a point in specialising in melee/shotguns, although that said i'm sure pros at the game can get through using anything. | |

| Melee takedowns have been pretty good so far, but I agree that melee itself seems a little unnecessary. | |

| There is one really awesome melee skill though, i think it mentions executions in a combo chain. Next time i play this i'll probably use that one.
Although on a first playthrough i really wouldn't bother with melee. Oh yeah and don't spread yourself too thinly its hard enough to max stuff at all on recruit background. I think on my second playthrough i went through the whole game without being seen, its a decent challenge to set yourself on successive playthroughs when you get the mechanics down.
