Hell, as long as there is a choice between a disc and DLC like with SSF4 AE then I might just be okay with this.

I think I bought this at the wrong time. Haven't had a lot of time to play it because of the decorating and then PSN went down, and now I'm moving on to other games.

I'm still playing. Most of my play was offline to get certain combos down pat and character synergy. I'm getting really good with the following teams.
Wesker (OTG Shot), Chris (Gun Fire), Magneto (Disrupter) Ryu (Shoryuken), Amaterasu (Cold Star), Spencer (Armor Piercer) Captain America (Charging Star), Iron Man (Smart bomb), X-23 (Ankle Slice)
Of course my best team is Akuma (Tatsumaki), Dante (Weasel Shot), Zero (Shippuga/Shoryuken thing).

I want my team to be X23, Tron and Skrull. I need to force myself to play this at some point. I know I'll like it once I get into it.

Super Skrull's tenderizer assist should probably combo off X-23's OTG Ankle Slice. Not to mention Tron assist is one of the best in the game. Good team choice.

My five teams so far are:
Deadpool (Katana-Rama), Taskmaster (Parabolic Shot), Arthur (Knife Toss) X-23 (Ankle Slice), Dante (Jam Session), Amaterasu (Bloom) Dormammu (Dark Hole), Doctor Doom (Plasma Beam), Iron Man (Uni-Beam) Ryu (Hadoken), Captain America (Shield Slash), Chris (Machine Gun) Spider-Man (Web Ball), Spencer (High Shot), Hsien-Ko (Senpu Bu)
I'm still trying to learn other teams but it's hard to find combinations of the other characters I don't have teams with already.

Whenever I get into this game again, I'll be playing the following team:
I guess you could call it "easy-mode-and-top-tier-characters-with-perfect-synergy team" even though that wasn't my intention. I only wanted to have cool and good-looking characters like Dante and Albert. I'm tempted though to use Phoenix because she makes me feel invincible after she orgasms. And she looks hot too.

Magneto and Wesker work well together. I added Chris into that combo for mine because he's actually the best match with Wesker IMO.

I have to disagree with that to some extent. Most projectile assists are great for him, but EM Disruptor is too fast and so not as useful as Unibeam or Plasma beam. IMO, best teammate for Wesker is Phoenix, simply because he is a character with no weakness (so he is not too dependent on assists), who builds excessive amounts of meter and doesn't really have any use of it.

I'm getting bored of seeing Magneto/Wesker/Sentinel/Dante combos.

Magneto isn't an OTG character without using meter. Wesker's OTG shot gives Magneto a great Gravity Squeeze combo. EM disruptor also does give Wesker another launch combo. I've done it tons of times. Magneto air combo -> OTG Shot assist -> Magnetic Tempest can be DHCed in the corner into Lost in Nightmares or Phantom dance. So yes, they do work well together. I like Chris as Wesker's best team mate personally because they combo so well off each other ironically.

How can you get bored of Dante? He is one of the most exciting and flashy characters in the game.

Well, OTG assists are basically unnecessary for Magneto. Top players are doing comboes that build 2 meters -> Magnetic Tempest -> DHC glitch -> 100% damage all the time without such assists. As for the Disruptor assist, it's not bad, but it's just too fast and knocks the opponent down (so it's not easy to follow with a combo if it hits)/ doesn't lock the opponent down long enough to apply mix-ups if it's blocked. I can't comment on Chris as I had barely used him.

Phoenix is hot solely because of Dark Phoenix and the Jumpsuit, otherwise she's just Jean Grey.

The disruptor assist is not too fast. Like I said, I can easily launch off it after OTG shot. Well I can't do the dash combo with Magneto so I need another way to extend it so I use Wesker's OTG shot.

I understand this, but I'm talking about starting an entirely new combo off it, not using it as part of Wesker' s combo after the shot. For example, it's hard to call Magneto and then teleport or dash to catch an opponent falling after being hit by the Disruptor if you're not close. If it's blocked, I believe it's too fast to apply low/ throw/ command grab/ teleport/ etc. mix-ups afterwards, unless, again, you were close enough when you called Magneto. Most useful assist for Wesker is hands-down the Unibeam, but I'd rather not have to use Iron Man after I lose Wesker.

Yeah, I did the same thing, before I decided to drop Magneto. I couldn't handle the execution needed to play him properly, so I've decided to stick with easier characters.

A lot of Dante's play the same. RogueYoshi's Dante is fun to watch though.

SO I decided to do my missions over since they were wiped clean with the new PS3 and I have been mowing through them. Hell, I did all of the missions on both Wolverine and Hulk's missions.

I've beaten all the missions with Dante, Skrull, Hulk, Wolverine, Zero, Ryu, Iron Man, Spencer and quite a few more that I can't think of off the top of my head.
