Rise of the Planet of the Apes looks so stupidd and fun

Yes, you just saw a gorrila attack a helicopter.

Oh, I saw this trailer before X-Men: First Class. The whole time I whispered to myself, "This isn't going to be a Planet of the Apes movie, they wouldn't do that, that would be stupid, no one in their right mind would-- oh."

And of course Andy Serkis plays the main ape. I'd be a bit pissed off if I was him. He's always getting cast as monkeys. This film, King Kong, he even played Monkey in Enslaved.

guess I'm the only one that was excited for it when I saw the trailer...

always loved the movies...

This was shockingly, surprisingly great. Like, really really good.

The original films were awesome i need to watch all the old and new ones as i've only seen like one of them ever and it wasn't even the first.

Thought the movie was overated. It was good but not mind blowing.

It almost qualifies as mind blowing since I had quite low expectations. Could have done with being a little bit longer though, and there's a couple big moments of plot-induced-stupidity. They're all on the part of the humans though

I couldn't get into the scene where the apes were running over top the trees like Ninjas in Naruto.

They weren't running over the tops of the trees, they were swinging through them.

I know. But in the movie everyone was awestruck through that scene and the ongoing parts of the apes raid. I just couldn't help roll my eyes expecting atleast one Ape to fall.

Heard an interview with the director, he sounded nice enough. THe movie appeals much more to me after hearing some more about the plot.

You can get a DVD boxset with all 5 of the old films for £8 on amazon.

That one like 10 years ago with Mark Wahlberg is by far the best one.

The only thing worse than a Tim Burton movie is a Tim Burton movie with Markie Mark in it.
