Holy crap this game was scary.
Resident evil, stuff jumps out at you. Whoopdee doo.
Silent Hill is just stupid creepy. It's an evironmental thing.
Haunting Ground, though... It's just super-nerve wracking. You NEVER know when the enemy is going to come after you, and when they come, YOU CAN'T KILL THEM. You just have to run away and find someplace to hide, and PRAY that they don't find you.
Later on, you can fight back to a degree, but the most you can do is knock the enemies down to buy yourself more time to escape. They'll get back up and come after you in a few seconds.
Plus, the enemies are creepy as shit. The chick with the shard of glass is especially scary. She'll walk into the room, and start looking for you. Then, all of a sudden, her whole body will lock up and she'll start with this creepy-ass laugh.
The main character chick was hawt, BTW. And her dog was cute.
Anybody who likes horror games, I'd reccomend you give this one a try. It's by Capcom, iirc. PS2. Play it NAO.
