I've been keeping my eye on this game for a while. It's being produced by some Aussie development team under Rockstar's supervision. It's an open-world game set in, as the title suggests, a noir-esque setting where you go around investigating and solving cases. There's this neat pre-order bonus that has an extra mission to boot.

This game has Ken Cosgrove as the lead, so it's automatically awesome.

Looks awesome, although I find the quality of the facial animation a little creepy. I love the setting though, pretty sure I'm gonna get this.

Is there a release date for it yet?

It'd be neat if they would put in some kind of multiplayer investigation missions for the game, but that probably won't happen.

It's published by Rockstar and it's basically their big game of this year, but its actual developer is Team Bondi in Australia.

Oh nuts. Didn't notice this other trailer way back. Goes along with that other long gameplay trailer from before.

Got the game. It's pretty fun. Just got my first promotion and now just dickin' around, checking out the side-cases that pop up.

So how does the investigating work? And are they decently challenging? Or is it too early for you to say?

A little early, but so far they aren't too difficult. Just some basic guess work for the interrogations and looking around for clues.

So, For now I'm right to assume that this game is GTA meets Ace Attorney?

Not exactly. The game takes place in a big open-world setting, but you mostly do detective work. Sometimes there are chases and shootings happening, but it's not like you can just go around screwing about being a crazy criminal.
Despite the game doing a very good job at what it was set out to do, it's funny how many people got mad when the game didn't turn out like another big GTA-esque game just because Rockstar was involved in some way(even though they're not the developers at all).

I never turned it off improperly. That was an unfortunate black out's fault.
Anyway, people are saying it's causing their system to overheat and such, but so far I haven't had any problem. But then again, I actually don't spend hours and hours on the game each time I play. Lucky it's cold here now in Aussie land. Imagine if it was in that hell hole of a Summer.

It's nice how there's different paths for each of these cases. I think the outcomes are mostly the same(maybe some differences), but depending on how your interrogations went, you could wind up solving the case in multiple ways.
