Me and SSMG were talking about it on DBG. I posted it on my top anime list in the topic earlier but I want to focus on this one of a kind season itself.

Man I had no idea anime existed. At this time a canadian channel was only airing this and Samurai Pizza cats at the time. And they were my both my first anime experiances. As young as I was I remember it. Did any country outside canada experiance this dub? Because I have no idea.
It went from the beggining of Dragonball right up until Pilaf was defeated and Goku had his tail removed by puar. It just ended there and never returned.

It being a Funimation owned property, it obviously aired in the US.

Because it aired in '95 and most fans didn't get into the series until '98 when DBZ premiered on Toonami.
A lot of Daizex members will probably remember it.

I remember watching Dragonball at like 6:30 in the morning before school. WAY back in the day.
Yea 95 sounds about right. I'll admit I didn't get actually get die hard into the series until I started watching DBZ when it started on Toonami. I had no idea there were 2 dubs, ocean and funimation, I just thought once they went to Namek the voices just changed (I really liked Vegita's voice in the Ocean dub.

Yeah this dub > Every other dub created.
But it's nastalgia, being the first anime, dragonball thing I ever saw. That makes me say that.

I had to wade through this shit before I got to the other dub when I was attempting to watch it online.

The '01 FUNi dub uses basically the same script. Except with classic VAs Stephanie Nadolny and Tiffany Vollmer.
Saffron Henderson was a great Goku (and a good Gohan). Second only to Colleen Clinkenbeard.

It just sounded so wrong. Because I'd watched the first 2 seasons in the other dub first.
