| Its freaking awesome I did not expect it to be this different and this awesome all at the same time. Pacing seems better the fights are better and i love the animation. I just hope this quality is maintained. | |

| The pacing for the first 16 episodes or so is subpar, because it assumes that you've already watched the first series (like Dragon Ball Kai on steroids). For the newly-animated material this improves, though the exaggerated comedy bits that pop up every five minutes were lost on me about halfway through the show. | |

Oh yeah The pacing is atrocious if you haven't read the manga or got a good grasp of the original series. Can't really comment on the humour yet but i always liked the fact it was there to break up the mood otherwise the series would be too much of a downer.

| I've seen like 8 episodes of FMA. Would it be worth just switching to Brotherhood and watching it from scratch? | |

Thing is the first series is great. I would recommend watching it as it really does go and do its own thing. The series aren't all that long I think the first one was 52 + a movie and this one is only 64. The plots diverge significantly after the first 20 or so episodes and the thing is there are things that happen in the other one that they simply skip. Put it this way this is probably the best anime thats not that long out there and you can get to enjoy two different adventures with the same great characters. Its the only time filler (or plain make shit up as you go along has been done well) so definitely watch both if you have time. Watching brotherhood alone you may feel the need to look at the wiki, which always opens up potential spoilers.

| I intend on finishing this real soon just watched 3/4 episodews so i can tell you if this series is better or not, the start is definitely better as its less detailed, but if i was watching this standalone i'd probably be thinking its a bit too quick i definitely prefer the fights though. | |

| I honestly forgot shows could be this good. There's so many crap animes saturating the market.
Only decent ones i've seen recently being one piece, hajime no ippo and this. I might even go as far as to rewatche the first series again after this if i feel i haven't got my full FMA fix.

| Fairy Tail's anime is far better than its manga counterpart last I heard, so you might want to check that out. | |

| I'd recommend Fairy Tail too. It's a little like One Piece, only it's not as good. | |

| I'll have to check that out then.
In 8 episodes of this they have covered the time span of 20+ episodes of the original version. Its like FMA on crack.

| Miles is awesome because he's roronoa Zoro, absolutely love it when i hear familiar VAs and there still as badass as ever.
I'm guessing Yoki = Frankie = Bon Clay as well but he hardly speaks so i dunno.

| Alphonse is so much better then edward. Edward really does fuck all except cause trouble for everyone. Alphonse is probably the best character in this though Lin yao and greed are awesome to. Actually i like the whole cast and they manage to make likable females in this which is so rare in most mangas/animes.
Mustang is also great.
I do wonder if the ending will top the 03 anime finale.

| Just finished it. The ending for this was better and made way more sense compared to the 03 anime. At the same time the final scenes of the 03 anime probably tops this as it ends at the climax whereas this one had to make sure they covered what happened to everyone. But keep in mind the 03 anime had the luxury of making a film to wrap that kinda stuff up. | |

| Well I just finished FMA and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wasn't sure if I was going to at first, and after I watched episode 7 I took a break from it. But I'm glad I stuck with it. My favourite character was Scar.
I'm going to move onto Brotherhood now, is it completely dubbed so far? Or should I watch the movie(s) first?
