fuck, i'm getting impatient for this game

Apparently the interface is worse than Oblivion, that's quite an achievement if you ask me.

yeah, the interface is a bit convoluted. have to go through several menus just to equip a weapon or a magick. takes too much time imo. that's like the only gripe I have with it though.

it runs incredibly smooth, no hiccups, no glitches,.. after everything I heard from Bethesda, I'm quite surprised it runs that well.

I have it from a very reliable source, that this game in fact poop.

Is that the opposite of tit?

your source is wrong.... but then again, it might be poop compared to other games in the genre, I'd never know..


I'm having a blast with it, it's hard to not go back to it after I quit for the day..

That really doesn't help the first part of that post.

But if its fun thats the main thing. Are the controls tight or clunky thats the main thing that i care about as i'm sure content wise the game is fine.

So is Skyrim an MMO or something?

it's an open world rpg

Even if it was just Oblivion with minor graphical refreshes it would still be better than 95% of other games released in the last five years. All the reviews I've seen have been very positive.

controls feel fine to me, not having problems with them. melee combat can be a bit weird sometimes, but I don't know if that's just me or the game.



EDIT:

encountered some minor issues now:

- had some framerate issues during a fight with a dragon, no idea what caused it.
- 2 NPC's ask if we should travel together to a certain place or meet up there, I say let's travel together, backup is always nice. they disappear, I meet them 20 minutes later at the above dragon battle, which isn't even the place where I was supposed to meet them..


by far not game breaking issues, just 2 things I noticed. haven't had any other problems so far. but I've heard other people have had many freezes etc, so I dunno what to say as far as the stability of the game goes. I'm not having issues, others are having major issues...

that's fairly normal for these games. for the people not showing try wait for them., you usually get there faster than them. if that doesn't work, thenit is a bug

The larger your save gets the worse the game will perform. Try not to do side quests or too much exploring when playing Bethesda games.

Fuck that, Those fuckers usually have all the good shit sprawled out all over the fucking place. So exploring is unavoidable. lol And hell, Some side quests usually give some good shit as well. ...Atleast, That's my observation, anyway.

I mean, i was doing the main quest which told me to go to some guy in Riften and talk to him. so I go to the guy, talk to him, and do what he tells me to do, and before I knew it I joined the thiefs guild and was doing work for them instead of carrying on the story

That was a pretty smooth transition from old to old and Scottish.

i'm loving this game. liking the new level system too. you still level skills to level up but instead of stat increases being based on what skills you improve, you simply level after a certain amount skill level ups. upon level up you have can increase health, magicka, or stamina by ten points. you then get to choose a perk that improves your abilities or gives a special effect with the various skills you can level.

edit: i was wrong about level up, the amount of skill ups needed seems to increase with each level

blunt, blade, and hand to hand have been taken out so the new melee skills are one handed weapons and two handed weapons. other skills that were taken out are acrobatics, athletics, and mercantile. one skill that was added is pickpocket. can't remember if others were changed/removed.

edit: enchantment and smithing were added.

also i'm already experiencing a glitch where arrows keep reappearing and disappearing off my body when switching from 1st person to 3rd person view

Why is it some people say that this game is abysmal, and other's say it's the king shit? It's like people either love it or hate it, no middle ground at all.

i'm assuming the hardcore oblivion players or older elder scrolls gamers are more likely to hate this. from the few hours i've played it does seem lot more simplistic than oblivion. i've noticed that a lot of gamers who love older version of the series start hating on it for that one reason, same thing happened to fable
