Why didn't this series end already?

Let's face it... when Aizen was busted, that should've been the end of the series. Tie up a few loose ends, say the appropriate goodbyes, and close up shop. The story was done. Period. But no... it continues, despite all reasons to the contrary. Why? Because every other fucking shonen series is continuing on with villain arc after villain arc! There will be a Big Bad for the next 50+ chapters and then it'll move on to the next challenge.

You know what? I can accept that to an extent. One Piece has a vast universe with loads of interesting characters and plenty more to explore; hell, there's still an entire half of the world we've barely seen yet. Naruto also has some potential, given the overarching story with villains atop villains and twist upon twist. Katekyo Hitman Reborn deals with a Mafia family; of course they will constantly have troubles, be it rival families or otherwise. Not to mention the grandmaster of this trope, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Araki knew what he was doing and he did it well, making sure that every major arc had a nice fat timeskip in between, PLUS a different protagonist each time.

But Bleach has NO excuse! There was one mastermind behind absolutely EVERYTHING up to that point. That man was Aizen, who has been THOROUGHLY AND UTTERLY BESTED! His minions are crushed, his lieutenants are deceased, and his nemesis brought down to a shell of his former self in the attempt. Ichigo won, pyrrhic though the victory be. It was an acceptable conclusion and, with a little editing, would have closed up fairly well.

But no, it continues, and guess what folks? It's no secret; we all know it will happen! Ichigo is going to get his fucking powers back! That's right! That terrible cost to victory will be reduced to a goddamn Bag of Spilling!

i honestly thought the series would end after aizen losing

though i only watch the anime i'll probably be wtf'ing too when i get to that part

Kubo always wanted to do a hell arc, so what's going to happen is that Ichigo is going to hell, fight a bad guy there and Aizen is going to help him and become an anti-hero.

What? No it wasn't. Did you forget about Squad Zero? What about Isshin's whole past that we still know next to nothing about? Then there's the rest of the Arrancar who were never really given a past and Kubo already said in previous interviews that he's planned on doing more after this.

I agree that Ichigo gaining his powers back is going to be stupid and undermine the point of the sacrifice, but hell it was pretty obvious it was going to continue.

Hell arc is confirmed, isn't it? That sounds perfectly plausible. But Grimmjow will appear again.

I agree. I would have been satisfied with Bleach ending right then and there. It pissed me off too many times man.

I would've been satisfied with Bleach ending at Soul Society, problem is, Bleach brings in money. So as long as Jump is making money over there in Japan then they will keep making more and paying them to make more even if the series seemingly ended.

This is life, this is a business, get the fuck over it.

It should've ended after the first arc. Right before it became the most generic shonen known to man.

And Kubo can quit whenever the hell he wants. The problem is that he thinks he's an awesome writer and his ego is only fuelled more by the Japanese fangirls who spam his twitter 24/7.
