I like to think i'm always going to be on this board to keep things running and encourage activity, but realistically as i'm getting older i'm getting busier. So has anyone got any suggestions for me to help improve the site or possibly get more activity. I mean its quite clear we do attract new users but i'm not sure, if i'm doing anything wrong and putting them off staying for longer as we seem to only get a few people who turn out to be regulars.

If people want more reviews/FAQs/discussion revolving around anything in particular feel free to suggest those. I'm more then happy to cover anything i know about. I mean looking at the reviews section not all topics even get a reply so i'm guessing if people asked for what they wanted reviewed that could help.

I think by it's very nature, any forum of this kind is going to struggle to attract and keep new regular members. Without a real 'hook', you're going to struggle to stand out over all the other myriad forums doing similar things.

In a way, that's one of the real shames that Mishimi's ego suffocated DBD, because Dragon Ball was a pretty decent hook, all things considered. I'm not sure how typical I am, but I'm a regular member on only one other forum, and that's car related. That was my hook, that's what keeps me interested. Even somewhere like SLUT I rarely find cause to visit, much less post regularly because it's geared very much toward Sly's PS3 Clan, and most of the topics that aren't are broadly similar to what's on here. Not to mention all the best members there are here already anyway.

I digress slightly. To summarise; honestly, I don't think you'll ever attract huge amounts of new members, not unless you choose to specialise more in one particular field, whatever that may be.

You're right but i don't want a situation where a few of us aren't on for a few days and then suddenly everyone starts disappearing i'm not so bothered about masses as long as we've always got 20-30 users floating around kinda like it is now.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. This is the most active, most posts, 2 year old forum I've ever seen. I post on 5 forums and I enjoy this one the most. Not only because you're all dragonball fans, It's easy to relate to you all. It also helps that you guys don't have any resident dicks that most forums tend to have.

I like to think that we're all resident dicks, which is why the place works. I mean, on any other board, a lot of us would be the resident dick.

Well i always like to think we have organised chaos here, i think that in part is due to the fact i don't really give a crap about rules as long as people are not malicious.

Basically it's socialism. There are technically some rules, but there's very little enforcement. Everyone just acts okay because everyone wants a decent environment.

Yeah, that's a pretty good analogy of this place.
