Play the single player first, as that's the chronological order.

Really i didn't notice any connection between either plotline that said i haven't finished single player.
I can't imagine it would spoil anything for you either way.

There's something right at the end of the single player that connects them.

Thats not really a spoiler then just it connects things. You could play them side by side in that case surely. HAving completed the coop i didn't really spoil anything.

I can say there's an awesome song. It's not quite as good as Still Alive but that's hard to top.

Its really not a very good song. Also wtf ending did that seriously just happen. That was nuts.
So wait:
Spoiler:
Glados deleted her human part, does that mean she's still a psycho. The co-op story continues right from where the game ends in that case? Is she going to go on killing everyone else then? Was she killing people before us to?
Overall i think its a more solid game then one, i do miss the test chambers though as you do a lot of stuff outside them in this one and those don't really feel puzzly.
Oh yeah they also need to add in that test chamber at the end of the trailer.
Wait WTF is there no level select in this one? Do i need to replay the whole campaign to do specific rooms
EDIT: oh you can you choose new game, still i have to play through a chapter individually to see each bit. I need to go through campaign again and look for secrets anyway so i guess its no biggy.

Spoiler:
I think she's still pretty crazy due to what happens in the co-op, but I guess we'll have to wait for the next Portal game to see.
I agree with the stuff outside of the test chambers, getting stuck is 90% looking for a piece of wall you might have missed, and it doesn't really have the same feeling of acomplishment when you work out what to do.
And I liked the song, though as I said it's not as good as Still Alive.

Spoiler:
She's not killing all those people, she's just testing them. Any resulting death is an unindented byproduct of said testing and is in no way the responsibility of Aperture Science.

I was referring to the shenanigans with the discs and stuff on the whiteboards.

Finished the SP. Still have one question, and it's the very first question I asked when I started the game. How the hell did I end up back in Aperture?

The developer commentary option has a level select. And if there are any secrets they're better hidden than in Portal 1. I didn't notice any, apart from one small area early on with paintings on the wall. But it hardly seemed secret. Only thing unique about it was the radio, and the tell-tale bean cans.
The most interesting bit was the right at the start where you find a mural of Chel. I'd like to know who did that.
