| The thing abut Darksiders, is that the story and characters were completely at odds with the majority of the gameplay. You're War, and you're going around finding coloured keys or pushing blocks onto platforms and pulling levers and stuff. It was pretty weird. I did like how colourful it was, but it could do with a different art style. The designs are all a bit too chunky. Makes it all friendlier somehow. | |

| I didn't talk about story, so it wouldn't matter that I didn't play the first two Are they better in gameplay? | |

| I don't understand how either of the things you said make a game bad. | |

| Well if you haven't played the first 2 games then you aren't into the story, and if you aren't into the story you won't necessarily enjoy the cut scenes.
It also explains how Kratos can use magic.
So therefore your opinion means jack shit.

| I played in a store, didn't like wasting time on cutscenes I couldn't skip
Even if the previous 2 explain how Kratos magic work, it wouldn't help the kind of novice who always starts gaming somewhere in the middle. With exception of MK I never played a game series from its first installment
I'll try to find the first two for the PS3

| Well those novices are dumbasses. If you're going to play a series, you play it from the start.
With the obvious exception of games that don't have a story which ties in with one another.

if I had a better copy I'd play more Skipping cutscenes and Kratos not using magic doesn't make a game thrilling either, in fact removing magic would probably make any game with magic in it less thrilling. The best games have a decent story. How can you judge a game by playing 5 minutes in store unless your complaints are unresponsive controls and looks like shit you can't really judge a game by that, a demo would probably give you better insight.

| The GoW 3 demo was pretty boring. And it was made in 2008, so that doesn't really represent the final product well either. | |

You're a dumbass, I don't play for story, no series I played ever required me playing the older installments to get what's going on Not Resident Evil 2 Not Street Fighter 2 Not Mortal Kombat 2 Not Assassin's Creed 2 Nothing - Quote :

For fucks sake, I only played to check the gameplay, why do I always have to face the opinions of hardcore assholes like you?

For fucks sake, I only played to check the gameplay, why do I always have to face the opinions of hardcore assholes like you? Thats way more enjoyable having played the first. SF has a lousy story, I honestly can't keep track of MKs story way too much happens but some of the games have great ones. You sure RE2 makes sense without playing 1, admittedly it is somewhat a branching story, but i'm sure they don't really explain RE1 at all in that, but again its got a crap storyline. I think RE4 would be a better example of a game you don't need to play the earlier games as its barely connected to the rest of the games at all. Also if you haven't played earlier instalments, storylines in later games can seem crap because some of the events in later games maybe explained or foretold in earlier games.

For fucks sake, I only played to check the gameplay, why do I always have to face the opinions of hardcore assholes like you? You're calling me dumbass, yet you're the one cutting potential fun in half (which, btw, is the ONLY reason you should be playing vidya in the first place), I'm not sure you quite understand the meaning of it. Maybe you should look it up? I'm a hardcore asshole eh? That's pretty amusing, I put it to you that you're just a mouthy cunt who can't take the slightest amount of ridicule without flipping shit, even when it's entirely called for. Read: generic, mouthy 12 year old. You don't have to face my opinion, or anyone else's here, for that matter. You choose to.

| Skip didn't even call you a dumbass aziz so i'm not sure why you're getting so defensive. Although now an arguments started.
Ultimately though stuff that adds to a game without getting in the way is not a bad thing the only game which I would complain about lengthy story sequences to the point of intruding on gameplay is MGS4, although it does have a good storyline.

| Spider-Man Reboot is Aziz? That explains this.
If you don't care about story, you're missing half the enjoyment of great games. If you were to play the Ace Attorney series, you'd fail miserably at getting what's going on. You need plenty of explanation from AA1 to properly play AA2. But meh, you're acting like the typical gamer who doesn't give a shit about anything but how it plays and how it looks.
