Suikoden III is totally the best. Not many would agree with that. Buddy system as well as poor graphics does not work well it seems. I liked it though, it tried something new.

| Buddy system made the game easier.
Hugo/Fubar = gamebreakage.
Graphics don't really matter much anyways. They were fine. I'm not going to crucify a game because it has less than perfect graphics.

| I wouldn't say the Buddy system made it easier. It just shortened the number of commands you had to use and forced you to think about who you take along in your party.
Mounts, generally were broken in Suikoden 3.
I have to say the graphics did put me off a little when I played it. Too... N64 like I thought. But I managed to look past it and find a nice little gem in there.

| Besides.
Best story out of all five. (six if you count Tactics). Luc was just awesome. Yuber <3.

| To be fair it only had the best story because of the multiple point of view's idea. And even then only Geddoe's was interesting throughout. Chris' didn't get interesting until Chapter 3 and Hugo's didn't get interesting until Chapter 2. Also I hated Lulu so I dislike Hugo's chapter 1 even more.
Luc... was a risky move. It payed off though. And yes, Yuber is the sex. I want his pimpsuit.

| Everyone hates Lulu.
That and if you take away Luca Blight, Suikoden II is basically boring. Suikoden V is probably the second best, Suikoden 1 was mediocre. Suikoden IV had such a great premise, but executed horribly.

Ugh yeah. Chris did us all a favor by killing that little shit. I wouldn't say it was boring, I mean Luca Blight was just a substory. The whole situation between the protagonist and Joey and how two best friends had to fight each other on opposing sides of the war was the main story really. Luca Blight just served as an antagonist for the first 2/3 of the game. Besides which, Luca didn't really have a story in the game. He has tons of backstory, but all of that was revealed in a source outside of the actual game, which explains his childhood and why he became as batshit insane as he did. None of it is referenced to in Suikoden 2 and as such he just appears like a less funny Kefka, someone who kills for no reason whatsoever.

| Well yeah. But having him in the game made it so much more epic. I mean, you have this amazing general who only dies after 1000 OR SO archers or whatever kick his ass.
War battles were meh and the story was good. Suikoden III just improved in a lot of ways.

| Well... if you say so *much preferred Luc as a villain than Luca*
War battles sucked ASS in Suikoden II. I mean seriously it's all luck based. It's like... Fire Emblem except the RNG is actively set out to screw you over anally.

| Oh yeah. Even if you have Luc's team have max attack in war battles (his team has the most damage potential), there is still quite a chance that he doesn't kill anyone in battle. Royal pain in the ass.
Flik and Viktor... man I wish they would appear again. They were awesome.

| Viktor had the fight with the talking sword.
Flik was just majorly hot.

| I guess you are that little girl who had a huge crush on Flik and kept following him around then? xD
(I forgot her name sadly)
They were both awesome. But I feel you couldn't have one without the other. They are like a duo in my eyes. I have to say though I found Flik really annoying in Suikoden 1. I liked him so much more in Suikoden 2.

| Alright. From now on, you are known as Nina xD
I can't remember much about the Suikoden games other than 2 was a pain at times, 3 was awesome, 4 was a pain at all times and 5 had a protagonist that looked like a feminine version of Serph from the DDS games.
Need to replay them sometime to refresh my memory.

| My take.
II > V > I > III > IV
V really came close. It was just the ridiculously easy difficulty and the sub-par story that stopped it from being the best.
