Mine are:
5. Godzilla: The Series intro -
There isn't much to say about this opening other than pointing out its eerie build up into a pretty cool tune that really screams "monster rumble!", that and just by the random split second shots of the characters, you can tell they're ten times better than how they were portrayed in the 1998 film.
4. Gargoyles Intro -
Well what can't you say about this one? It had to be in this short list. Keith David's narration sets up the dark tone and the music is just great. That and the random "climb animation" whoring near the end is hilariously random when there's so much more dramatic clips to be chosen over those, still it somehow worked so who cares.
3. Spider-Man TAM -
A typical, standard montage of clips from the show itself...that just. FUCKING. WORKS. The theme song is so god damn catchy, I mean damn, how could you forget it?
2. Biker Mice From Mars('90s version) intro -
Holy fucking shit! 'Nuff said. Just by watching this opening, not only would you get pumped up for the show but it'd probably make you 10% more manly and badass.
And my most favorite cartoon opening is......
1. MIB: The Series -
This introduction is the product of taking awesomeness, badassery, great art and animation, and a mellow but cool theme into a blender. It's just too great.
Honorable mentions: Spectacular Spider-Man, Batman TAS, Animaniacs.

5. Alienators: The Evolution Continues
4. X-Men: TAM
3. Spider-Man: TAM see above.
2. Men In Black : The Series see above.
1. Megas XLR
HM: Street Sharks, The Real Ghostbusters, Big Guy and Rusty, Wildcats.

Defining cartoon of my childhood.
I'd also tried to add ThunderCats and Inspector Gadget, but everytime I add them, everything else gets deleted.

Actually, it doesn't matter if he lists it. Just because it's an anime doesn't really mean it suddenly doesn't count. They're not above animated shows or special, they're still cartoons and nothing more, whether people still like to be delusional and think otherwise or not.

I did consider Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, but upon re watching it, the intro was actualy pretty shitty.

your right the music is still alright but the beginning is fairly bland i'm wondering if the outro was the cool bit
or if it had music mid show which was the thing they usually did in all the 80s cartoons
i made a similar mistake with the racoons: the epic theme wasn't the intro, fucking epic seriously
Spoiler:
the awful intro
