Zero Punctuation: FF XIII

Couldn't have said it myself.

The characters are extremely generic and aside from Snow and Sazh just not fun.

Currenly I'm at the beginning of chapter 5 and I have absolutely no idea what the fucking plot is. Not a single clue. After about 10 hours of playtime.

going by the FFs i played 9 and 6 seem to be the most interesting

7 and 8 were fun to
main plus side for 7 was the materia system was good
8 would be one of the better ones but the draw system screwed it up big time

12 and 13 have computer controlled team members and i hate that
X had the sphere grid and despised that
the earlier ones are all fairly generic but good versions of generic stuff

other games reward you for levelling up characters who seem apparently shit at the beginning in this game may as well stick to three you like and go nuts on the sphere grid with them

But the other abilities are optional. You don't have to gain the other abilities. It's pretty much the same with the other FFs with rewarding you. It's just that you gain certain things like Magic +4 but you can gain multiple +s per level up like in the others. It's just how you see it I suppose.
