Am I the only one who's getting progressively bored by One Piece?

He's really just the mascot of the Straw Hats but Oda tried to make him important in a few arcs.

He's just loafing around and swatting soldiers away. He hasn't even fought the Warlords or any of the major Navy guys, he's just swatting the infantry and coughing up blood.

They probably just did it so the strawhats could defeat the warlords
going by what whitebeard should be able to do (i mean we saw what rayleigh could do)
he should have been able to kill a few of the warlords effortlessly
they probably just wanted each one to have an interesting fight, well i can only hope

That's the problem. Oda knows he can wrap this up easily and with as much awesome as the other arcs contained, why he's dragging all of this out, I don't honestly know.

oh i meant i thought the warlords were gonna survive and the navy walk away victorious, so the strawhats will defeat them when they return
i don't see the navy getting any significant losses until dragon shows up

honestly i'm not in any doubt this will be done well in the end though even if white beard looks retarded as no one has been killed up to this point (anyone important) then i'm pretty sure if whitebeard is goona die something epic will happen

i mean dude spent years planning this manga before he started, so hopefully we see what he's getting at within the next month

I just hope Ace dies at this point. There has been too much fucking build-up for it so he had better go through with it.

It is kinda hard to follow when it all happens so fast and there is a week between each chapter. Plus the fact that each chapter last about a minute, which makes it hard to follow.

And the fact that Oda took a lot of breaks for Strong World/his family.

It's not so much boring as the wait makes it out to be. The agonizing and quick reading sessions of just fighting then waiting another whole week is shit. If Strong World didn't take up much of his time, he would've probably handled it much better. Ironically, it's not the plot being dragged out, it's the gigantic fucking pictures taking up space. The plot clearly moves every chance it gets.

I hope Oda can fix this issue soon.

He will fix it once the war is over. Last year at Jump Festa he said he was going to make a lot of double pages because he wanted to showcase everything in the final act of the arc. That became his downfall.

This arc is actually only 20 chapters long. In Skypiea we wouldn't even be at the Surival game yet and in Alabasta we would be somewhere in Rainbase. The arc isn't actually long and it isn't even going at a snail's pace. It's pretty much what Sora said.
