fvrom what i hear he hasn't featured in the manga from whenever his arc was

and the scene in the anime when theres news artound the world didn't feature him

so i doubt he'll show up again anytime soon
and i think he's way too weak at this point unless he fights like nami or usopp

Kuro was pretty one dimensional compared to later villains.

i was hoping they'd add another dimension

i did the whole zombie arc too. but it was a huge let down.

It gets much better. Most people consider Sabaody one of the best arcs.

so this arc is basically the c9 arc but they're saving a mermaid?

Nah, they first have some weird adventure with a guy who looks like Sanji's wanted poster, which is where they meet the mermaid. Then they go the island of bubbles, which is where the 11 Supernovas have gathered (guys with bounties higher than 100 million). There's a lot of racism and discrimination towards fishmen on the island (it sounds really dumb when you don't see it for yourself). The mermaid gets kidnapped and saved in like 3 episodes, but in the process Luffy punches a super important guy, who is a total fag and a racist. Then an admiral is called who has the devil fruit of light. Then everyone gets owned one by one. The last 5 episodes of the arc (400-405) are probably the most chaotic in the entire series. Oh, and Roger's first mate shows up too.

After that comes a super awful arc where Luffy is on an island full of women. Then he goes to prison. Then he goes to war.

Yeah, I still haven't finished that one. Such a come down after Enies Lobby. Not even Brooke kept me reading, even though he's awesome.

You read through the Cell saga, you can read through Thriller Bark. You were at the fights anyway, so there's finally some progression.

Yeah but that's different. I knew DBZ from half watching the anime on CN and playing the games. I may know the Freeza arc is better than the Cell arc, but while actually reading them I don't think about it. I knew them both beforehand, and formed my opinions of them after reading.

Enies Lobby, and the whole of Water 7, was brilliant. And Thriller Bark just wasn't. Not bad, but just a massive come down. Like a much longer version of the Davy Back Fight or whatever it was. I just stopped reading and I've never bothered to pick it up again because I never think about it.
