Well, Naruto have yet to use his trump card, the Kyuubi. Plus if i recall from the top of my head, Itachi did give him something, probably some jutsu and whatnot.

not necessarily, he merely received a 'gift' from itachi. it could be anything, and seeing as he gave all of his eye techs to sasuke during his kimi-esque death scene...
