And? It's a very entertaining arc AND it's canon. Oda never writes anything that's unimportant to the plot. Skypiea plotlines will return later.

Besides that, both Usopp and Nami's current weapons are based on dial technology. Something that was first introduced in Skypiea.

ahem. i think that pain is the only person with any taste in this series now. he destroyed an entire city without any super-flashy explosions or giant(not counting the cerberus thing) animals. the city just goes *poof* and vio'la! instant crater!

One of the destruction scenes double-page panels looks like a rip off from Akira except without a giant ball of death in the middle.
