Haven't played it much. Well, played for about 80 minutes. Once. But it seemed pretty good. But then I don't really play shooters, and the difference between a good FPS and an amazing FMS is something I can't grasp, since most of them seem pretty much the same to me.

Halo is derivitive of every FPS game ever made, with a dash of Metroid thrown in for good measure. I suppose it derives everything people love about those games in such a way that people find it compelling.
