Whitebeard's the strongest guy in the world but with him near death I don't find it completely implausible that Blackbeard's gonna kill him.

One of BB's new crewmates has the nickname "Colossal Battleship".

Eh, this week's chapter kinda sucked. Nothing really happened again and the Buggy cocksucking pirates gags are starting to get cringe worthy and obnoxious.

The ending was pretty cool though since at least it was interesting and made me look forward to next week's chapter.

Good lord, they just pop out of the woodwork!

Oh well, Law's finally getting something.

I have to admit that shanks appearing in that last chapter was something that I definitely did not see coming. The only thing left for him to do now is show why he's one of the badasses of the sea...er umm warlords!

Is it just me or did Boa's snobby attitude got old really fast? She's just not funny, we get it, she's such a bitch and an egotist that her head goes far back when she's demeaning and ordering peons, it's not funny. Hell, most of One Piece's comedic moments aren't actually funny lately.

And why does Oda continue to draw Luffy with these ridiculous sadfaces now? He's never had trouble drawing sad Luffy pre-Ace's death.

Ace is really the bringer of everything bad in this comic.

Well this week's chapter was fucking stupid.

It was fine until the flashback began.

What about the corny "DISAPPEAR! DISAPPEAR!" shit? What is it with manga characters being cursed and unable to mourn over someone properly? They either end up super-angstifying themselves up or in Luffy's case, just bitch-fit/rage himself into not believing the truth for like 5 or 6 pages.

No one just mourns and gets sad for around one or two pages anymore. Like for example, in Ultimate Spider-Man when Uncle Ben died, if you exclude the whole "responsibility" ephiphany, you pretty much wind up with only two pages that end up leaving a greater emotional impact than a whole/half of a chapter of a manga could ever do.

You're right, Ace does fuck things up. Glad he's gone.

I bet he'll blame himself for it for the next couple chapters.

Nah, the next couple of chapters will be a really long and unnecessary flashback.

I'm starting to not like One Piece, mainly due to what could be dramatic moments of character development being ruined by those damn tear and snot filled faces.

Uncle Ben didn't die in Peter's arms and Peter doesn't have a childlike mind.

Getting over your grief in two seconds is completely unrealistic and there isn't a single series or show that just whisks away the grief that comes after an important person in the protagonist's life dies. But I guess that's to expext from shitty American comics that only cater to the lowest common denominator.
