Metal Gear Acid 2...

How many of you played it? Did you all love it? Hated it? Neither?

I'll start by saying that I love it!

I voted "Love it" and "Neither"

I liked Acid 1 better. Acid 2 was prettier, though.

I didn't know you could vote twice.

Metal Gear Acid was good in its own way, but the gameplay in MGA2 was better. Well, that and the story, except for one thing *Spoiler time, if I may*...

Spoiler:

Acid 2 was much more polished, and the interface was far better streamlined. HOWEVER, I think Acid 1's battle mechanics were better balanced. The guard HP to gun damage ratio was off. They were far too beefy.

As far as your spoiler, I don't care one way or the other. I think it was still pretty good.

I won't object with that statement about Acid 1. That was one reason why I liked it. Why I'm not the biggest fan of MGA 1 was because it didn't quite hold my attention as much as MGA2 did. Well, that and I beat MGA2 a lot more legitimately than MGA1, and I played MGA2 first.

How do you mean? What'd you do on Acid 1?

Yeah, that's cheating.

It is. But that's the only cheat I used really, and I didn't even completely finish it anyway. But again, that's because it didn't hold my attention long enough, and not because of cheating.

Now MGA2, which I beat first, I went all the way. No cheats, no nothing. Just a straight-forward playthrough.

I don't like to cheat. It ruins the fun of the game.

Code of honor about gaming, I see. Tell me something, have you beat MGA 1 yourself?

Yeah. I beat both, no cheat codes.

It's not so much a code of honor, it's just that I have no fun when I play with cheats, 'cuz the game is too easy. There is no drive for me to keep playing, no challenges to overcome, in-game crap to unlock, nothing.

The ending was pretty fucking awesome, btw. I'd recommend you finish it.

I have thought about playing MGA1 again from the very beginning, anyway. The only thing I won't do is cheat. Then in turn, I can beat it legit.
