Disney is making anime

Going back on topic, why would Disney make anime, though? I guess Kingdom Hearts wasn't enough, then.

Is that so? In that case, I'd say Disney's trying to reach a larger fanbase, since I guess Jetix isn't completely enough either.

They're just changing the main characters a bit, so that it'll be more liked in Japan.

It's practically the same as what happened to The Office in the U.S.

I just remembered something... I was at a local Wal-Mart a couple of days ago, and they were doing Disney Halloween t-shirts. One of them had Tinker Bell on it, but she was drawn in an anime/manga format.

But it's quite a common thing for America to adapt other country's TV shows or films. Disney very has it's own unique history of animation and such. That's why it seems a bit odd to me.

True, Japan adopts a lot of the things we say and do all the time. And so, it's no surprise that we're doing the same to them.

yeah kingdom hearts and stich two anime series i hope they make shows like aladdin into anime more action that way.the more action oriented disney shows like lilo and stitch will become anime.

I can see Aladdin as an anime, actually, if Disney plays its cards right.

If Disney starts pumping out anime remakes of all it's classics then I will be very surprised. And I'd imagine a lot of Disney fans will hit the wall.

I don't think they should try to remake every single classic they make, though. Some might translate well into anime like Aladdin and Sword in the Stone, perhaps. Others, like say, the Fox and the Hound and the Aristocats, probably not.

Mulan would make for the perfect anime. >_>

I didn't think of Mulan, but yes, I think Mulan, Beauty & The Beast, and... dare I say... The Little Mermaid.

by becoming anime they are kinda dropping that style

That might be a good one to translate over too. It probably won't be as easy, though.

I liked the Emperor's New Groove better than I did Cronk's New Groove. Yet the sequel had its moments, too.

That's what I meant. When you see a Disney character, you can tell it's Disney by the way it's drawn.

sequels suck comparatively in general

In most cases, that's true, especially the Little Mermaid sequels because the first one was better.
