I just beat Code Veronica X

Here is what I had left:

305 handgun bullets
51 Shotgun Shells
468 Crossbow Bolts
22 Explosive Crossbow Bolts
13 Acid Grendades
16 Fire Grenades
20 standard Grenades
My Assault Rifle had 67% ammo, plus I had a 50% clip for it
My dual SMG's had 100% ammo, but I used up 8% in the final boss fight, so there was 92% left at the end
I had 14 Magnum Rounds, completely used up in the final boss fight
35 ink ribbons
4 First Aid sprays
16 Green Herbs, I used up 9 in the last fight
9 Blue Herbs

Now, why is it that in EVERY proffessional review I've ever read for a RE game, and in EVERY conversation I've ever had with someone who's played the RE games, they say that ammo and healing items and shit is SO RARE?

BTW, I've beaten RE 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and now Code Veronica, and this is pretty much what my item box looks like at the end of each game >.>

1 and especially 0 (at least the GC versions) on normal or higher difficulty don't provide much ammo in the beginning.
B scenarios of 2 also have limited ammo in the beginning.

Oh, and BTW, I killed EVERY enemy in the game. Even optional bosses and enemies that I had to go out of my way to find/spawn/activate.

Maybe these people just suck.

It's normal.
CV has too much ammo.

Is it normal for the other RE games, too?

I *could* load up my RE3 save and list off my excess equipment (I think I had even moar stuff), but I already said that my CV item box was pretty typical.

I can't remember well because I've cleared it on hard only once years ago.
As I said above, I only had ammo problems on 0 and REmake. Oh, and 2's B scenarios in the beginning.

I think RE0 was the only game I never used the knife on. And I dont' remember having ammo problems, but it's been a long time. All I remember is having one character use handguns and the magnum and molotovs, the other character used the shotty and something else.

I don't think I used the grenade launcher once in that game.

RE2 was pretty easy for me too. That was the one with Leon, right? Ummm... Leon/Claire? I think I did Leon B. Of course, I could be remembering incorrectly. Whatever.

IIRC you've to get A rank on both scenarios (LeonA/ClaireB or CA/LB).
You start in the basement of RPD estate and you have to reach the 2nd floor. Every room it's full of zombies or plants and you have very limited ammo. You have to be an expert at dodging.

Yeah, I'm always too slow going through the RE games, 'cuz I'm SUPER methodical. I check EVERY room, thoughroughly, and pick up EVERY item, even if I have to take extra trips to my item box.

And then, I kill EVERY zombie. In RE1, I even went out of my way to burn/kill again every zombie in the game >.>

RE2 is the only RE I can get As.

I'm sure I could A them if I tried, but I don't really like the old RE games enough to play them more than once.

Really, I'm not sure I even like them enough to play once >.>

The only one I'd play again is RE0, 'cuz Rebecca is a freaking hottie.

i think only RE0 did i seem to feel low on ammo i still hada a decent amount
but compared to the rest there were more issues
but CVX is ridiculous how much ammo you have
way too much
for me its the weakest game in the series

Depending on who you chose to play as first, try to beat the game in 2 hours and 30 minutes or less to do so. You might have to do that for both A and B scenarios to get Hunk unlocked.

Maybe, but you have to earn Hunk and all the other secret weapons in the first playthrough before you get Tofu.

Huh? You can do it in multiple new game plusses.

Well, after you earn Hunk and the special weapons within the first A-B playthrough, it's smooth sailing as you don't have to do anything more but keep playing.

Tofu = knife only?
