The Sly Collection: The game for those who love interspecies romance... oh and stealing things

I just bought this and I'm starting with Sly 1, of course.

I forgot how much of a whiny little bitch Bentley was.

Bentley becomes awesome once he gets the wheelchair.

I'll also be getting this in a few days. For some reason it doesn't actually release until tomorrow here in the UK.

Savin' this for Christmas.

I just got the Dive Bomb technique and my only gripes about the game is the stiff voice acting and the music's pretty meh.

I can now slow down time. I can't see what use this is for at all.

For fun. There may be puzzles that require it, I can't remember. But mostly for fun.

Yeah, it seems to be solely for that.

Alright, currently on the fifth level of Muggshot's area. Rayleigh I almost died too because I was tired as all hell when I fought him but I have managing to get used to the game some more and the faster ability is really helping with speeding the game along.

so is this speed control like Viewtiful joe or PoP?

Neither, the time control things are more like extra things just for cool effect.

is this in the first game, cause i'm guessing if its in the first game its in the trilogy and if thats the case i really should be getting this real soon.

I beat Muggshot with no lives left, again.

HOW IN THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN TWICE?

The other games have slow and fast time, yeah. But the second game also introduced the special meter. In the first game, you could use the abilities as much as you wanted if I remember right.

But it's not like PoP. It makes everything, including you, slower or faster.

Oh man, I lost so many times at Mz. Ruby because of my reflexes slowing down constantly on the second rhythm part.

I beat Panda King on my first try, wow.

Just beat Clockwerk, all I have left is to go get one more vault open and I can move on to Sly 2.

Thankfully Sly 2 starts out so much better and now that Murray and Bentley have entered the field, they've become much more bearable.

The second one features one of the most genuinely shocking moments I've experienced in a game.

Plus it's an awesome game. I tend to think it's the best of the trilogy, but that may be because Sly 3 came out soon after and the basics were exactly the same. I think it was a bit shorter too. Compared to the leap between the first and second game, the third one felt a bit weak. Maybe once I go through it again I'll see it differently though. I do remember liking the whole pirate thing.

Besides the bottle collecting, I am really enjoying the game so far.

Am I the only one who likes arbitrary collecting?

I don't mind it whenever there's map pointing me to the things I need to find, not scouring a free-roam area for them with no idea of where they are. I just beat Dimitri and man was it funky.

I honestly have no ida how you can do this and i'm with what baal says, i like to have that map option at the end.

The areas are pretty small though, and the bottles make a clinking noise as the bob about. Just keep your ears open.

I wouldn't enjoy it if the game gave you a map of where they all were.
