I'm not sure if anyone heard about Borderlands 2

I tried the search bar. No dice.
Learned about this last week.
I thought the first game was pretty good, but a sequel sort of came as a surprise to me.

There aren't any official trailers, only previews in magazines and a "not so revealing" gameplay video at Gamescom.

So far:

The game will have 4 new protagonists

There's only been one class that's been revealed called The Gunzerker.
Thus class is made up by Salvador the Dwarf. And his special ability is to duel-wield any(ANY) two guns in the game.
He's like the team's Brick

The old 4 protagonists will be in the game as NPC's

The game will have improved story-telling about the characters and what's going on.

Less fetch missions,

Friendly NPC's will have a BIG improvement unlike the cardboard cut outs they were in the last game.

Improved item trading between players

There will be more 4 seat vehicles for players

There's a new element called Eridium that can upgrade the player's weapons, vehicles, the players themselves, or just be sold for a lot of money.

The game is still set in Pandora

The game will be released in 2012

No sign of Claptrap so far.

Wingers, when we ever gonna do the rest of the Underdome?

Hopefully you'll still be able to mod saves - in the first game I had a rocket launcher that would make Raz disconnect every time I fired it.

I hope claptrap isn't in this one.

I think someone posted this somewhere, or i just saw the article there were a cople of concept pics to.

I'm probably intersted in this i just hope the world isn't so empty this time and there's bigger variety in enemies, i'll probably end up getting it either way the first was enjoyable.

My friend and I manage to go through all 3 big tournaments on split screen.

No claptraps is a very good sign, I hope the get rid of them holy shit they were annoying.

Oh god that Underdome. Never again...

That was literally a game breaking rocket launcher. It froze my game.

Of course I knew about it, Anthony Burch is writing it! And I can't really say much about this, having not played the first one yet (but meaning to), and not having seen any gameplay. The first seemed good, though, so more of that is good.
