Here's a thread to discuss those dang fighting games that have been slightly more popular lately. Generally any game that's pretty popular will have it's own thread so discuss those games there! Yeah 3rd strike looks gorgeous. It's not really easy to get into. I agree that MvC3 is easy to get into though. Maybe the alpha series, its way more casual.

The alphas are more similar to a casual MvC2.

Really, MvC2 is easier because you only need to learn three of four characters to be good at the game.

Blazblue does not have interesting characters and story. There's like three interesting characters of the 15 or so and the story gets to be really fucking stupid even in the first game with how quickly they decide to go for the "every route is canon" crap and it just causes inconsistencies and confusion.

Blazblue's story is fine for a fighting game and when I said the characters were interesting, I meant gameplay-wise.

Fine for a fighting game is still crappy. If you want a good fighting game story then look for Guilty Gear, it's like the only one.

I like Platinum the Trinity. She's got Heartcatch costumes.
Is there any sort of difference between the PSP and PS3 versions, and between Continuum Shift and Calamity Trigger?

Platinum's design is so bad I refuse to spend money on her, fuck ArcSys. But anyways, the PSP version of Continuum Shift is bad don't get it and get Continuum Shift on the PS3 since it's the most recent game.
