The HDified thread

Stealing this from another site, a topic about games that are getting HD releases. Most of them that are currently known about:

God of War Collection
Sly Cooper Collection
Team Ico Collection
Prince of Persia Trilogy
Mortal Kombat Collection
Splinter Cell Trilogy
Odin Sphere HD
Muramasa: The Demon Sword HD
Beyond Good and Evil HD
No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise

I'm interested in the Sly Cooper Collection, Team Ico Collection and PoP Trilogy. The first because I never played them, but was always interested, the second because they're so damn amazing and the third because I never finished WW and never played TT. I'll probably get NMH too.

PoP, Ico, Muramasa and No More Heroes are the ones to look out for for me.

With a decent graphics card, any game from this generation or the last can be HD.

Beyond Good and Evil is meant to be awesome too.

It was a great game, its no deus ex though.

Its just famous because it was a lot better then sales would have suggested.

I didn't like Deus Ex much. Yeah, I know I'm in a minority of one, but it did nothing for me.

Did you complete it?

I hated the game from first impressions, then when i got it I realised why its the best game ever.

Do wish the choices were a bit more fleshed out though, although seeing all the dialogue paths possible it did have enough.

Yeah, played it through to the end. I was hoping at some point it would click and I'd 'get it', but that never happened. It's by no means the only game I've felt that way about though; both Resident Evil 4 and Kingdom Hearts II recieved universally high scores, yet I found both competent yet uninspiring.

It's not as if I'm the kind who doesn't get swept away by the games I do 'get' either, as one hundred hours plus on the likes of Oblivion, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins and Dissidia will attest.

Actually, trying to steer us back on topic, Ico is one of those titles I tried and didn't 'get' on PS2. I'm willing to give it another shot though, especially given the reverence granted to Shadow of the Colossus.

for PC or a console?

If mortal kombat collection included Shaolin monks i'd get it I love shaolin monks but i can't be assed to play it on my ps2.

I think the MK collection is arcade ports of the first three MK games.

Guess sly cooper and ico for me then.

Also, I'm still saying that KH is going to get one of these for the Final Mixes before KH3 comes out.

If it does, I might actually get into the series. I gave the first DS game a try and found it incredibly dull, but a lot of people say that it's the worst so I'm willing to give the series a second chance if it releases on the PS3.
