New BlazBlue Continuum Shift Console Trailer

Lots of animated cutscenes this time around.
Interesting.

I watched Tobi play a slow match against Tager on his computer. And watched a few videos. I'm ticked that they moved it back a couple months.
Also Tobi has it fully pre-ordered.

So Baal, what is your opinion on this trailer?
I think some of the art for the cutscenes looks a bit weird myself, but everything else looks to be good.

The animation's a bit wonky and some of the models for characters just look stupid.

Although even though the story is looking better, I'm just concerned about how badly Noel got hit with the nerf stick seeing as she was my sub, but from the looks of it I'm switching that to Hazama.

Although Ragna's still a fucking beast.

Oh and I fucking hate the anime cutscenes in general, so I want them to go away.

Mew likes it surely thats a testament to its quality

It's a fun game, although I wouldn't even fucking think about putting it about SSFIV or Guilty Gear.

The anime cutscenes in the first game were terrible because not only was the animation pretty bad, but they came out of nowhere. Literally, there were no anime cutscenes in the entire game until the True Route and even then those sporadically came out of nowhere.

So yeah, suffice to say I don't expect any better from this game in terms of this.

Then there's the crappy J-Rock opening... yeah, the less I say about how bad J-Rock is in video games for the most part, the better.

And the only thing to top the trifecta of crap decision making from ArcSys is to give us the exact same story mode from the last game.

Although I shouldn't expect better, this is the same guy who brought us character designs that only existed to apply to certain stereotypes and fetishes.

As long as they're not boring I'm ok with anime cutscenes. Except dot hack//Link's opening. *shivers*

Except these are boring.

Eight seconds of Ragna and Jin tapping each others swords together.
Five seconds of Ragna activating the Azure Grimoire in a very dull way.
Four seconds of Nu floating out of some light and a sword falling behind her.
And seventeen seconds of a laser being fired at the Earth because the Amaterasu Unit decided to fuck shit up.

So are you tired of the anime scenes or you dont like them?

I don't like them.

I'm also partially tired of them, but that's because no one uses them well at all and they just seem to be there for no reason.

You liked them the last time you were here.

I didn't. I didn't even make any positive reaction to them, I just went "Oh hey, an anime cutscene."
