| I'm thinking of slimming my eventual Christmas wishlist of titles I only sorta want and instead asking for a PSP. Before I decide on this, though, I want to know some decent PSP titles outside of Dissidia and FF Tactics. | |

| My opinion/rank of the games I listed.
Platformers ========== 1. Megaman Powered Up - Create your own stages, Play as all 8 robot masters, not too hard and not too easy.. 2. Ghost n Goblins - Great Game, very challenging. 3. Prinny - Fucking hard as shit. And you have to do the levels over like, 6 times in order to unlock everything. 4. Irregular Hunter X - You can play as Vile. The rest of the game is just an average MM game.
RPGs ====== 1. Crimson Gem Saga - Decent story, decent VAs, and the characters were alright. Overall enjoyable game IMO. 2. Crisis Core - Fighting System is different from other RPGs, decent story, interesting MC. 3. Phantasy Star Portable - Create a character from 3 different races, decent game play, story is cliche and suckish though. 4. Monster Kingdom Jewel Summoner - It's like pokemon but, a little more dark. Iunno, it was okay. 5. Final Fantasy 2 - Decent RPG 6. FF 1 (Very bland game. Almost as bad as 3.)
Fighters ======= 1. Dissidia - Get it 2. Street Fighter Alpha 3 - Alot of modes, characters, and extra shit 3. Guilty Gear Accent Core - Regular fighter. But, it's better than the most of the shit tossed at the PSP. 4. Tekken 5 - Can change/customize your character's clothes, it's an okay game.
Imports ====== Kinnikuman Muscle Generation - Great Game. Sunday vs Magazine - Sucks shit, broken as hell.

| I have to pirate Persona 1 when that comes out.
And Guilty Gear is basically the best 2D fighting game series ever.

| Dissidia is a no-brainer. (In truth, the catalyst for my desire for a PSP) I'm iffy on whether or not I should get those initial FF games. I already have the Dawn of Souls version for the GBA... Those other RPGs sound interesting, though. I've always wanted a less kiddy Pokemon-style game. Will Crisis Core make any sense to someone who hasn't played FF7... like me? Tekken 5? GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW, anyone know anything about Monster Hunter Freedom? | |

BTW, anyone know anything about Monster Hunter Freedom? I'd skip the original FFs. Boring stories and gameplay. Plus, you can easily pirate it on VBA or something. Crimson Gem Saga was very fun, the ending is errr...Yeah. And Monster Kingdom Jewel Summoner is mediocre overall. The monsters have some cool designs though. Here's a vid; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBF7gn8N4p0I enjoyed Crisis Core and I didn't even complete FFVII, so I'd give it a try. Monster Hunter is all hype. I fucking hated it. Then again everyone is different so you might like it. The gameplay is very slow and fucking getting any type of equips is a hassle. |

| Yeah, looking at Monster Hunter and Jewel Summoner... they don't look that great.
Checked out some Crisis Core and it looks interesting.
Any recommendations for a good "play for very short periods" game? Am I correct in assuming Dissidia and similar fighters would fill that nicely?

Dissidia will take up a lot of your time. So, if you're looking for something simple and easy to play on the side, I'd go with Megaman Powered Up, Loco Roco 2 or Patapon 2. |
