SMT: Devil Survivor

despite it being an SMT game, it IS a turn-based strategy game at its core.

a fun game all in all, this game has a silent protagonist, and the MC chooses where the conversations lead... mostly.

im having fun with it, but im not very good at it ATM. im also not all that far so i cant give a definite opinion of the story, but im finding it very engrossing so far.

I killed Wendigo a few minutes ago (The second fight).

And I love how this game took a huge step up from Persona 3 & 4. Now the MC actually serves some purpose in these games.

Although I take every chance I get to hit on Yuzu.

At the right moments it makes it romantic. High above everyone else with a full moon out and a sky full of stars shining, then when the kiss happens a bloom of fireworks.
Thats what girls want when they're on a ferris wheel.

Thats just weird. Did the ferris wheel break or something? I mean what happens when it goes down, the people above them will see, people below will get juices on them, and when the guy tells them to get off he'll see then it will cause a ruckus.

well, since this game starts out with a traumatic experience (for them) the only stereotypes i can get off of this are that your friend is a geek and yuzu is... a girl. naoya's probably gonna die or be the last boss.

I have some major gripes with this game.

1. Why are there so many fucking "LOL PROTECT SO & SO" missions? Even Fire Emblem doesn't have the ridiculous amount of protect missions as Devil Survivor.

2. WHY IS THERE NO FUCKING SKIP FEATURE?! GOD DAMN YOU AND YOUR BULLSHIT, ATLUS. I DON'T WANT TO SIT THROUGH THE SAME FUCKING SCENE EVERY TIME I FAIL A MISSION BECAUSE YOU FUCKERS ARE TOO INCOMPETENT TO ADD A GOD DAMNED SKIP SCENE FEATURE!

Yeah. Protection missions are a pain in the ass, regardless of game. That's part of the reason why I prefer the Decepticon side in the Transformers 2 game; the Autobots are the "protect others" type while the Decepticons are the "blow shit up" type. I think the Decepticons have only one escort mission and it roughly amounts to booting someone awake.

And my data has stopped being accepted entirely.

Unless I find cheats for this game, I'm never playing it again.

Fuck this, the amount of protecting missions are ridiculous, the fuckign battles take forever, I can't skip through any of these fucking cutscenes.

It's not worth playing through the fucking beginning again unless I have cheats.

Just beat Neutral Route, going for Chaos next because I am sexy.

Anyways, the ending was alright until Metatron decided to send me an e-mail basically saying...

"Congratulations on not getting involved with either side, just know that if you use your power even to light a forest fire we'll fucking kill you. AND WE MEAN IT!"

Still using cheats because I'm only really in this for the story.
